This charming family house is owned by Mrs Natalie Finch. It is set in the middle of beautiful gardens which have been featured in BBC Gardeners’ World. It appeals particularly to gardeners, plantsmen, writers and artists. The romantic garden which is planned for vistas has been planted to look beautiful each season of the year. Painting courses and garden study days are regularly held in the garden.Rosemary offers two twin-bedded rooms with basin, television, tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom and W/C are next door to the bedrooms. There is also one single room with en-suite shower, television and tea and coffee making facilities. Natalie Finch offers tea on arrival and guests may sit in the garden or the pretty drawing room. Breakfast is sourced locally and is served in the dining room.

I spent here a week in september and it was very nice.
There is a beautiful garden round the house.
Room and breakfast were good, owner was very helpful!
The landscape around is still the same as Constable painted.

I stayed here with an old friend for 1 night. The Pink Room was comfortable and very spacious. This is a beautiful 1920s house, with an enormous and gorgeous garden. The hostess Natalie looked after us very well, answering questions about the area and providing lovely food and conversation. East Bergholt is a very nice little town, set in beautiful Constable countryside and only a 30 minute stroll to the famous Willy Lott's cottage. Good pubs in the village too.
I highly recommend this B & B.

I felt I had been transported into a fairy tale, with an unbelievable garden to wander in, a rose-colored room fit for a princess, and the loveliest people providing everything I needed, including great books and excellent advice. East Bergholt itself is like walking into a Constable painting. Natalie is a fairy godmother.

Plenty of space in room, comfortable beds & a warm welcome. The gardens were beautiful but we didn't get chance to explore them much. Lovely house with attractive furniture
The breakfast however was disappointing & the eggs overcooked.

I organised to stay with Heloise with my partner and prepaid for one night's accommodation. I had made a mistake in the booking (having put one person instead of two) - she called me and said it would be an extra 50£, or I could cancel and have a full refund. This was done over the phone, with no trace. I trusted her - and then tried to get her to cancel the booking, which she then refused to do in writing. The period had expired and I had lost any recourse.
In short : LOOK ELSEWHERE!

We spent one night here on a short trip to explore Constable country. We were enchanted by the gardens and entertained by the very excellent and down to earth hostess Natalie - a warm sensitive and quite poetic Irish woman of evidently interesting and substantial background. This is what B&B's should be about - sadly too many have reverted to what I would call hotel architecture. Rosemary is quintessential unpretentious English cosiness. Delightful!!

A beautiful house, in the heart of Constable 's Country, set in an idyllic, magical one acre cottage garden - which it is a pleasure to explore.'Rosemary' is a relaxing, tranquil place which refreshes the spirit and the attractive rooms are flooded with light from the large windows .The house has a splendid drawing room with fine linenfold panelling and an atmospheric dining room where we had a tasty, locally sourced, breakfast. We were welcomed like old friends by the Irish owner of the house, who offered us homemade cake and tea when we arrived, and we stayed in a pretty bedroom with a view over the Stour Valley. It is a great base for exploring the Dedham vale and we enjoyed a trip up the coast for crabbing & swimming at Walberswick and sailing model boats at Aldeburgh. The children were made very welcome and enjoyed charging around the garden.

We the perfect overnight stay here, Natalie was a perfect, charming host.
We were concerned over the shared bathroom situation, but soon realised that everything else made up for that. The Bathroom and separate toilet were very clean. The bedroom was spacious, light and airy with lovely views over gardens. We were able to park in the grounds of the house, which was helpful. The gardens were beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely dining room. I would say the main reason for returning to this B and B would be that Natalie gave us such a warm welcome, which made you feel at home straight away.

I enjoyed my stay at Rosemary immensely. I was searching for a classic BnB, and I found an excellent one! And I found Natalie! She is very straight forward and detail oriented, and a very warm, and happy person. She wrote out a receipt when I paid and repeated her terms very clearly. With business taken care of, I found the house and the huge garden and the people I met, all delightful. This bed and breakfast is very clean and beautiful with old world charm. Natalie's home and garden are clearly a labor of love and I enjoyed talking with Natalie very much. I met another guest who had been coming there for the past 15 years and he couldn't say enough about how wonderful Rosemary BnB is. I couldn't agree more. Natalie makes a delicious breakfast and made sure all was well with my stay. I liked her place so much that I stayed three days and I look forward to another visit the next time I'm in England.
