Here’s a quick guide to Wreck-It Ralph’s voice actors and their characters. Released in 2012, Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph was the first feature-length film directed by animation veteran Rich Moore of The Simpsons and Futurama fame. In a similar vein to Pixar’s Toy Story, the movie tells the tale of a group of video game characters who come to life when their arcade closes down for the night and follows the titular Ralph – a video game villain – who dreams of becoming a hero.

The animation was a big hit that took home a total of five Annie Awards and raked in over $470 million at the box office. A sequel, Ralph Breaks The Internet, followed in 2018 and saw Moore share the director’s chair with Wreck-It Ralph scriptwriter Phil Johnston. The sequel took Ralph and his pals on a brand-new adventure through the world wide web and was an even bigger hit commercially, with box office takings totally over $529 million.

One highlight of the Disney hit was the talented cast that brought the characters to life, but who were Wreck-It Ralph’s voice actors?

Wreck It Ralph

John C. Reilly – Wreck-It Ralph

Step Brothers star John C. Reilly brought his distinctive voice to the role of Wreck-It Ralph, the movie’s protagonist. Ralph is the villain of the arcade game Fix-It Felix Jr. and is ostracized by his fellow video game characters because of his bad guy status. An old softy at heart, Ralph sets out to prove he can be a hero by sneaking into another game to win a medal.

Sarah Silverman – Vanellope von Schweetz

Voiced by actress and comedian Sarah Silverman, Vanellope von Schweetz is a character in a Mario Kart-style racing game called Sugar Rush who is afflicted with a glitch that makes her randomly teleport. Like Ralph, Vanellope is an outcast on a quest to prove her worth by winning a race.

Jack McBrayer – Fix-It Felix Jr.

Felix is the hero of Fix-It Felix Jr. and voiced by 30 Rock star Jack McBrayer. After Ralph sets out to become a hero Felix ventures out to find him, worried that if he doesn’t return to Fix-It Felix Jr. the game will be unplugged.

Jane Lynch – Sergeant Calhoun

Sergeant Calhoun is the tough-as-nails lead character in a first-person shooter arcade game Hero’s Duty who teams with Felix to find Ralph. She’s voiced by Jane Lynch of Glee fame, who has also lent her voice to animated shows including American Dad! and Final Space.

Alan Tudyk – King Candy

Doom Patrol star Alan Tudyk is the voice behind King Candy, ostensibly the ruler of Sugar Rush. Tudyk won the Annie Award for Voice Acting for his role as King Candy and has voiced a character in every Walt Disney Animation Studios feature since Wreck-It Ralph.
