When Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul married anti-bullying activist and filmmaker Lauren Parsekian at the Calamigos Ranch in Malibu on Sunday, the ceremony capped off a weekend of wedding festivities.

“It was beautiful and so emotional,” Parsekian, 26, says of the ceremony, which was held in front of 250 guests, including Paul’s Breaking Bad costar Bryan Cranston.

The bride, who wore an Amsale gown, adds, “The first moment I saw Aaron will forever be the most perfect visual snapshot of my life.”

The couple, who first met at the Coachella music festival, opted for a 1920s Parisian carnival-themed reception (an ode to their 2011 engagement in Paris), which included mimes and stilt-walkers. Paul, 33, even surprised his bride by having everyone serenade her with one of the couple’s favorite songs, “Beauty” by the Shivers.

“Aaron had coordinated with all the guests by having them join in and sing to me at the end of the song,” Parsekian says. “He had emailed everyone before the wedding so people could learn it. It was probably the most emotional, overwhelmingly beautiful moment of my life.”

After their first dance to “La Vie en Rose” (which was the song playing when Paul proposed), the couple and their guests enjoyed a performance by indie band Foster the People. “Everything was perfect,” says Paul. “It was pretty magical.”

So what moment meant the most to the actor? “When I woke up this morning,” he says, “and realized it wasn’t a dream.”
