Studio3T is perfect if you ar managing MongoDB, you are a developer of a tool using it as a database, or you just simply need to export some enterprise data to CSV or other sources.
Its a mangificient tool for managing MongoDB. As a Sysadmin I use Studio3T in everyday basis to make some batch queries, to check some critical collections and sometimes also to check cluster status.
What I like the most is the visual query builder. It allows you to easly build queries with just a click & drop. So easy. Also the Aggregate function make's MongoDB aggregation a kids job. When I started using MongoDB I dind't have so much clue about MongoDB databases but was very intuitive to use it.
Recently there is a new feature I love too, the Shared connections. It allows you to share connections between a team, assign roles and allow acces users to some servers and deny others.
Intelli Shell is another tool I use in a daily basis to make scripts to get query or sometimes update in batch.
If you are wondering if you can implement this on your Team, i assure you its easy to do. You just need to create the accounts in the license manager and thats it!
About support its also great. Each of our license only allows for two seats (two computers) and sometimes you would get to that top (changing work PC's for example). But recently, after contacting support, they instantly removed the activations to let me activate them again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maybe performance. Last updates have been a little impacting in system performance.

I'm using Azure's MongoDB via their CosmosDB vCore offering. Azure does not have a native admin interface. Studio 3T has been perfect for letting me admin my MongoDB instances and perform regular daily queries and light data editing. It makes my day-to-day admin duties very easy! Best thing (compared to Compass) is the Connection Manager and Connection tree. Handling of multiple simultanously connections is quite easy. You must not open a seperate window for each connection. Colorizing those connections helps to mark the "dangerous ones".
Analyse Schema, is really nice for getting an overview about the data.

Poor usability when sharing connections and/or querys with the team

I don't say it as I dislike it, but it will be better if studio3T enhances this functionality.
While copying a collection espeacially having large data, it takes too long and sometimes fails due to large size. It will be good, if they have a ability to copy collection through multiprocessing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hands down, Studio3T is the best GUI tool for engineers using MongoDB. I have it open throughout my workday and could not survive without it. I love being able to share connections with my teammates. I don't use SQL at all and I don't want to pay for that. For me, as a soloenterpreonur 200 bucks + taxes is a beat expensive.
Before Studio3T I used Robo3T, but it was a little buggy and can't do simple tasks.

I have been using studio 3T from past 3 years and it has helped me to write complicated queries and tasks on a click of few buttons. The data import and export is so simple like we do copy paste. There are many magical features which can help us to optimise the schema and queries. Any non tech person can interact with DB which seems to be the best part of the tool. I teach software architecture courses and this is my sixth year of using Studio 3T in them. It's a great tool for students to start with in their academic - as it can easily be used for simple tasks. What I really like about Studio 3T is that it can grow with the needs of my students AND it can transition with them after their graduation into their workplace. At that point, they can unlock the full potential of the tool for use in professional settings. I found Studio 3T to be more robust and reliable than many alternatives. There is not much to dislike about Studio 3T. Over the years, the tool has added features that overcame any concerns I had. The user inerface has become more complex over time but I think that's to be expected given the features that it packs! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
