The bus provides a comfortable ride plus drinks and snacks. Instead, the tour operator informa you once the bus is on its way that you “can” purchase tickets to enter the castels. Why wouldnt the buyer assume at tour to the castles includes tickets to emter the destination? Its deliberstely misleading. The castle tickets double the price of the tour. The tour itself was actually a whole day tour and brought us to the castles. - Ang5 contributionsThis was a beautiful way to see the castles. Would have been better if the weather had cooperated, was rainy and cold. A lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes. Getting to Neuschwanstein castle is hard for those with knee issues, there should be more options to get up closer to the top to enter the castle. Other than that it was beautiful. Our tour guide while on the bus and hiking up to Neuschwanstein was Tyler and we really enjoyed his historical knowledge. He kept the group together and organized, which was nice since we packed a lot into one day! The castles have to be seen to be believed, the alpine scenery is stunning and it was brilliant to be escorted by such a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Find your own wat to castle and ger audio guide. If tickets are sold out, at least you get to see castle
