LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Unified School District will welcome students back to school on Aug. 20 in either a date to dread or one to look forward to.

Either way, it's a traditional date that's instrumental in a child's development.
There is no school for students on Aug. 30 for Admission Day. Other significant dates include:

  • Labor Day on Sept. 2
  • Veterans Day on Nov. 11
  • Thanksgiving Break on Nov. 25-29
  • Winter Break from Dec. 23-Jan. 10
