Disc one: Comprised of tunes recorded live at the BBC with six being from Top Gear and one coming from Saturday Club and one from Radio One O' Clock an additional track is recorded at The Blues Roll On. The sound here as noted above very good somewhat unusual for live recording from this era. The weakest tunes on this set are the '50s sound of Spencer's love for this particular era, but they are done beautifully. I particularly enjoyed the renditions of "Black Magic Woman" and "Dead Shrimp Blues." A slightly different sound is the tune "Psychedelic Send Up," very interesting. Overall very pleasing.
Disc two: This show was recorded at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco in June of 1968. A super set which runs a slightly shorter time span than disc one. But this disc is a brilliant capture of this vitally important band. "Have You Ever Loved A Woman" is worth the price of this great collection. I also really liked "Dust My Broom" and "Lazy Poker Blues." Again this show is a well performed and recorded show.
Disc three: This disc recorded in Kulttuuritalo, Helsinki Finland in September of 1968 is interesting with some unusual FM songs, but the sound of this recording is not as good as the first two discs. The sound is lacking slightly in that the vocals and instruments on most songs are not mic'ed properly. Track three "Like It This Way" does sound slightly better than the first two cuts with Green's guitar sounding pretty good. "Only You" is one of the better numbers vocalized by Jeremy Spencer and Peter's guitar is wonderful here. And the cut "I Believe My Time Ain't Long" again featuring Spencer on vocals and slide is super. John McVie's bass is very good on "All Over Again (AKA I've Got A Good Mind To Give Up Living") and Mick's drums throughout are just perfect. Disc three is not quite the superior sound as the first two but it's still of great historical significance.
Disc four: Recorded in Gothenburg, Sweden 11/2/1969. This disc is a much better recorded show than the one done in Finland. The vocals and instruments are definitely better captured. My two favorite songs on this disc are the Spencer done "Red Hot Mama" and "Got To Move." Spencer's slide and vocals are spot on with the slide being so good it's almost otherworldly. Mick Fleetwood totally rules on the tune "Coming Your Way," really a beautiful thing. The tune "Albatross" is here as well as on disc three which I didn't mind one bit. Again Fleetwood is perfect and it is one of my very favorites by the band. Peter's guitar is simply lovely as usual. This disc runs slightly over 66 minutes giving the band an opportunity to definitely get into all songs. With ten tracks on this set ample time is devoted to each song. This box set is a lot for the money and is a must own for the true Mac fan.
But Disk 3? WAY worse than Disk 1. It's a barely audible pastiche of great performances poorly mic'd, mixed, recorded, and engineered. Plus, many of the same songs are found on the better Disk 4, so in a sense Disk 3 is redundant. Why, Mick Fleetwood, why? Just to get a few more Green Manalishi's off Peter Green's legacy?? >sad<
Oh well :/
Another complaint is for those of you with older standing CD racks that take standard-sized box and jewel cases: the box package is too big to fit. It could've easily been packaged to fit those stands as the sleeves are smaller and move around in the larger box. Nice work, London Calling :/
Oh well :/
But hey for the most part this box set is good, sketch Disks 1 and 3 and bloated packaging aside. Fantastic performances by IMO the best FM lineup, a true historical document, that would've been better by trimming out the (poor quality) fat that are Disks 1 and 3 and insuring fit in conventional CD stands. Only for hard-core PG FM fans only.
Oh well :/

Absolutely fantastic, brought back a world of memories. Excellent sound quality that you get from a decent vinyl pressing.
Actually played it twice, before checking for giveaway finger prints and wrapping it up nicely.
The recipient sent me a thoroughly glowing text which said she was totally overjoyed listening to songs she’d not heard for years.
A must buy item for any Mac fans.
Man bekommt also reichlich was geboten.
Genau mein Ding.
