The International Baccalaureate Scholarship is awarded to pupils entering Year 12 who have high aspirations and can demonstrate intellectual curiosity and independent thinking skills.

This award offers academically motivated international boarding students the chance to receive up to a 50% reduction in our annual tuition and boarding fees for the duration of our two-year programme.

Windermere School was crowned the 2018 IB School of the Year by the prestigious Sunday Times. We are a non-academically selective school with an IB mean score well above the world average. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an internationally recognised qualification for pupils aged 16 to 18. Research by Oxford University shows that pupils who have studied for the diploma have a more significant probability of achieving both a first- and second-class degree than their A Level peers. The objective of the IB is to encourage breadth and balance as well as depth across the curriculum. This rewarding programme ensures that pupils do not specialise too narrowly before going to university, guaranteeing a future full of unlimited possibilities.

An IBDP scholarship student is expected to be:
