THE GOAT is Polo G’s sophomore studio album. The album boasts features from Juice WRLD, Mustard, Stunna 4 Vegas, NLE Choppa, Mike WiLL Made-It, Lil Baby, and BJ the Chicago Kid.
The album’s lead single, “Heartless” featuring Mustard was released on September 20, 2019.
On February 14, 2020, Polo G released the album’s second single, “Go Stupid” featuring Stunna 4 Vegas and NLE Choppa. The single earned Polo G his second career Billboard Hot 100 entry, after his breakout single “Pop Out.”
On April 10, 2020, Polo G released the album’s third and final single, “DND.” The single also made the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #84.
Polo G announced the album release date and revealed the album cover art on May 5, 2020.
The album sold 99,000 album-equivalent units in its first week and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. The album also peaked at #1 on the Apple Music album chart.

THE GOAT debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 during the week of May 30, 2020, after selling 99,000 units in the first week. This is Polo G’s highest charting album of his career so far, beating out his 2019 album Die A Legend, which peaked at #6 and sold 38,000 units first week.

How did the transition between this project and Polo's last project go?
After I dropped my last project, Die A Legend was my first project ever, and going through the process of making that, every song that I made went on that album. There were no extra songs to pick from. So this time around, as soon as Die A Legend dropped, I instantly got on working on my new project. So now I’m completely done with it.

Why is this album called The GOAT?
Polo G:It was really a play on my zodiac sign. I’m a Capricorn. The goat represents the Capricorn zodiac sign. That was my full intention behind doing that, and me knowing that a lot of great people were Capricorns, like Lebron James, Martin Luther King, Denzel Washington, Tiger Woods. They were all great at what they do. It was like a double meaning, almost.
