What travelers are saying
- worktotravel14Trenton, NJ3,040 contributionsThis is a beautiful venue with largely smooth logistics. We had second row seats which were wonderful, though I might sit a little further back to avoid strain on the neck.
The bathroom logistics were incredibly weird. You had to go outside past the admission area to get to them, which meant that you had to count on the person who was guarding the tickets area to remember you. That happened.
Drinks were insanely expensive.
Convenient to the train station and local hotels and I'd come here again.Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This was my first visit and I left very favorably impressed. The Newark Museum of Art is a pleasant and welcoming place with a great staff at all levels from security to curatorial. It houses a variety of beautiful permanent and temporary exhibitions and spacious places in which people can meet. It’s a real community asset. I use a wheelchair and appreciate that the museum is truly accessible and accessible paths and bathrooms are clearly marked. There is a small café and a museum shop.Written March 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Peter U19 contributionsThis is a work of art; as cathedrals go. It is a very valid cathedral; big vaulted ceiling, large stained glass windows, great organ. It's next to a large beautiful park with cherry blossoms that equal Washington dc.Written December 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Ironbound is amazing. The place has this cool, cozy feel with brick walls and all. The food? Seriously good. They've got everything from killer steaks to tasty veggie stuff. Plus, the staff is super chill. It's become my go-to spot for a laid-back, delicious meal. Check it out!Written December 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was well worth my time and the words to describe how beautiful the experience was is undefinable. I felt so at peace there and I couldn't believe how beautiful the architecture was. Don't miss this beautiful place.Written November 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sunshine34500West Orange, NJ2,212 contributionsSituated right smack in downtown Newark center, this is one of the oldest parks in the city. Could call it vintage. Benches, greenery, across from NJPAC and underground parking, prices to be a great find. Great security with police station across the street. Many new High rises surrounds the area. Not Central Park, but adequate view and pretty trees.Written April 15, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NewarkScubaDiverNewark, NJ303 contributionsThis is an true hidden gem of the City of Newark. Let's start with the The Ballantine House, a restored home from the Victorian Era. It is beautifully maintained and actually allows a walk-through.
Next, the Dreyfuss Planetarium provides amazing shows daily and is connected with the Victoria Hall of Science which is a great collection.
Another Dreyfuss find is the Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Memorial Garden, located behind the museum, it is decent size and a good walk.
The rest of the museum is best described as a mini Natural History museum ... you can spend at least 2 to 3 hours enjoying the exhibits. It is worth the price of admission.Written September 25, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They only give 1 hour's worth of data in two "pages" They could take some technology advice from GCT or even New Haven Union. The place could use a broom and a mop. Track level waiting areas provide shelter from the elements & a place to sit. That's about it. However, would I get on & off this stop again? If there's another great show at the PruCenter, yes. Super convenient.Written September 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Mary NParamus, NJ30 contributionssome of the most beautiful monuments in a lovely cemetery. Clearly one of the best in New Jersey. Quite large, easy to driver through - some dirt roads. Especially nice in fall with the leaves turning color.Written August 28, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
