The Richard & Helen DeVos Japanese Garden
Tranquility, simplicity and beauty are the essence of The Richard & Helen DeVos Japanese Garden, which opened in 2015. In one of the most revered and deeply appreciated international garden styles, this 8-acre addition furthers the Meijer Gardens dual mission of horticulture and sculpture.

Michigan's Farm Garden
Michigan’s Farm Garden focuses on gardening and horticulture as it would have appeared in the 1930s, during the Great Depression. Through heirloom vegetables, flowers, and an orchard reminiscent of the era, visitors gain an understanding of farms when they were truly self-sufficient.
Lena Meijer Children's Garden
One of the largest and most interactive children's gardens in the country, Lena Meijer Children's Garden lets guests make their own discoveries through hands-on play. Ten themed areas invite guests of all ages to learn about gardens, sculpture, and the natural environment in fun and unique ways.
Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory

Amphitheater Garden
Home to the Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts and Ayers Basement Systems Tuesday Evening Music Club, the Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater is a garden in its own right. The venue features a manicured terraced lawn seating, trees, perennials, and bold tropical exotics, as well as sculptures by Michele Oka Doner, Sean Henry, Barry Flanagan, Igor Mitoraj and more.
Gwen Frostic Woodland Shade Garden

Plant Show Series
Serious gardeners and flower fanciers alike will be intrigued by the variety of flowers featured in the yearly Plant Show Series. Local plant societies and hobbyists showcase tropical orchids, bonsai, iris, herbs, and more. Many of the shows feature workshops, demonstrations or tours.
Volunteer Tribute Garden
The Volunteer Tribute Garden celebrates the spirit and emphasizes the importance of volunteerism—the foundation of Meijer Gardens’ stability, viability, and community connection. This gateway garden along the main access path to the outdoor grounds is a place of serenity, inspiration, beauty, and artistry.
Wetlands
Wetlands in Michigan serve as crucial nurseries for fish and wildlife, natural filters for lakes, rivers, and groundwater, and vital reservoirs for floodwater management. These wetlands also offer recreational opportunities for birdwatchers, hikers, hunters, and paddlers, while playing a key role in storing carbon, a significant greenhouse gas contributing to climate change.
Conifer Collection
Meijer Gardens is an American Conifer Society Reference Garden. The American Conifer Society promotes the use of conifers in gardens and landscapes and educates the public about their care and conservation.
