All 4 segments of my flights were delayed. Gate changes occurred frequently. I missed my rental car operating hours so I had to Uber both ways. Avoid United.

I am so disappointed with United airlines, I booked my flight and was supposed to get home tonight at 10:30pm to make it home for my busy Monday and they cancelled my flight at 7pm after we had already got to the airport since our flight was boarding at 8:30pm. I have important work meetings that are required, have to take my kids to summer school in the morning. They were absolutely no help after explaining to customer service about the importance of getting home tonight and were so rude. They decided to book me a flight for the next day and now I won’t get home until 2:30pm on Monday. They thought offering a $50 flight voucher would make up for it. Now I have to book a hotel and deal with so many other inconveniences due to United airlines poor communication and help. I will never fly with United again and advise everyone to read this before booking.

United was nice with the previous CEO's. Lately operations is a mess: late flights, cancellations and excuses are every day, late crews, maintenance issues, late aircrafts, missing baggage.....AND for far the Most expensive airline to fly Business. I used to be a loyal customer of United, but they prove over and over they don't care. They delay flights, no responsibility taken, missing connections (weather they said....not one cloud in the sky and all the other airlines flying normal schedule).....They need the Old Fashion CEO's....less tech more customer care!)

The actual flights were on time and nice. However, I had to make several calls prior to our trip because of delays in getting our destination paperwork processed. I had to upload the same documents multiple times and make multiple calls to follow up as the app kept saying "pending review". Then, they failed to load all of our checked bags during our connection in Newark and I had to make an extra trip to the airport to retrieve the next day. I fly for work a lot and don't typically fly United. I haven't had these issues with any other airline. We had separate issues both before an after the actual flights. I guess there is a reason I don't fly United very often. To compound the lost luggage issue, their app told me one thing and the live people told me two other stories. Luckily, I had a Tile tracker in my bag and tracked it myself...no thanks to United. Tip for United about customer service, lead with "We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience..." because United customer service didn't say that one time as they seem like they truly don't care or like their job. Very rude people. The person at the Louisville airport literally told me that our checked bag not making it on the flight (even though our other bag made it) was not United's fault. I guess it was our fault for even flying United in the first place...my bad. United could learn a thing or two from American and Southwest Airlines about customer service and how to treat people. Every one makes mistakes but is how you react to your mistakes and how many you make that is the measure of your business and service. United has a long way to go.

My flight was scheduled to arrive at my destination near 6am. Due to a delay I would have missed my connection. The agent I spoke to could not find another flight on United or American that could get me to my destination earlier than 3p the next day. I was only traveling for 2 and a half days so to make it worth my time I needed to get back as early as possible. The agent advised me I could book myself on another airline and apply for reimbursement from United. I reluctantly took a flight on Spirit, but they got me to my destination at 5 am. I followed up with United to file for reimbursement and was told they do not offer reimbursements. I informed them of when I called and from which number so they could hear my nearly 2 hour conversation with the agent that gave me this information. Still stay said there is nothing they can do, so I asked for the escalation path, so far they only apologize. I made decisions based on the information the United agent provided, but somehow it was my responsibility to know the information that was provided was erroneous; this is a case of David v. Goliath, I still hope to get something.
