CHRIS HEMSWORTH IS back in the gym and looking strong in his first full workout post of 2024.

The Thor and Avengers star, who also owns the wellness app Centr, just shared a look at his latest training session on Instagram, an intense full-body routine that keeps him "continually movingfor around 40 minutes." The exercises include medicine ball slams, overhead farmer's carries, a flow sequence encompassing a dumbbell curl, squat and press, kettle bell snatches, tricep extensions, and underhand bent-over rows.

Hemsworth finishes his weights-centric session with a sprint on the treadmill, because he knows that all-round health and fitness means not neglecting your cardio.

"I love this type of workout," Hemsworth wrote in the caption. "Being able to cover a lot of bases, explosiveness, strength, stability, speed and hypertrophy helps me feel functional and strong."

Hemsworth took some time away from the public eye last year in order to spend more time with his family and focus on his health, after learning that he was genetically at a higher risk of developing Alzheimer's. "It was a good kick in the arse and a reminder to do whatever is in my power to give myself the best fighting chance," he told Men's Health. "Whatever work I’m doing for my brain health benefits the rest of my body—we turned it into a positive."

He is now preparing to reenter the pop culture sphere with a starring role in the Mad Max prequel Furiosa, in which he masks his movie star good looks with prosthetic nose and teeth—a time-honored awards ploy—in order to play the villain Dementus. He is also currently teasing the release of the second season of Limitless With Chris Hemsworth, the National Geographic series which follows him as he explores different ways of living longer, healthier lives.
