My customer said he connected a Tascam Mixcast 4 to his atem mini. I truly suspect that is not the case since a standard mini only has one USB connector for the sole purpose of PC to Atem communications.
I have an Atem mini pro, and I am asking if the ATEM mini pro will take the input for audio via USB C from the Tascam. If not, is there a viable solution to using the USBC out with the Atem mini pro?
Two solutions I have thought of are:
1. Take the out via 3.5mm out from the Tascam into the ATEM, but I have seen lots of concerns around the 3.5 input quality of the ATEM audio in the MIC port
2. Take the output from the TASCAM via 3.5mm audio out into an XLR adapter and feed it back to a camera XLR input and feed it back as part of the audio stream via HDMI.
There are many points of failure with each solution. I would appreciate any thoughts on a workable solution.
Thoughts?
