Irishman of the moment Cillian Murphy graced the red carpet at the IFTAs last night and said it felt 'lovely being home'.
The award-winning actor, 47, made the appearance fresh from his Oscar's win last month and he didn't leave the IFTA awards ceremony empty handed either.
The Cork man took home the prize for Lead Actor later in the night for his role in the blockbuster hit Oppenheimer.
You would think with so many awards under his belt, Cillian would be a pro at making a speech, but accepting his IFTA gong he said: 'I'm still so brutal at this!
'There are so many people here I admire... It made me think of being here and being a young actor and getting so much encouragement from so many people, a lot of love and encouragement,' RTE reported.
In a similar vein to his Oscar's acceptance speech, he also thanked his wife Yvonne who was there at the event with him, saying that she 'keeps him sane'.
'People call it showbusiness but it feels like a community when it's done well' he continued. 'And to my wife, my amazing wife Yvonne McGuinness, for keeping me sane!'
Afterwards, Cillian thanked the Irish people for their support over the awards season, giving a special shout out to people from his native Cork.
Speaking to the press after the event, he said: 'It feels lovely being home and being in a room of friends and colleagues, people I've known all my career who really, really encouraged me.
'The support was amazing. I really, genuinely want to thank everyone for the stunning support, it meant a lot to me.'
