A New Orleans teacher tries to clear her brother of a murder that was actually committed by the supernatural hook-handed Candyman. Refusing to believe he exists, she inadvertently summons him up once more, and as he begins a reign of terror during Mardi Gras, she learns of a connection between the ghostly killer and her own family.
