My family of seven visited South Shore Inn in July of 2019, for a five day stay. Hotel is a little dated but very clean, nice pool and helpful polite staff. Especially Sandy she checked with us everyday,answered any questions and was great with our kids couldn't have asked for better hotel for the price. Thank you Sandy for all your help. Jessica

I just left this hotel after staying in Sandusky for a baseball tournament. This is a very good hotel. I had friends from other hotels come by to visit and wished they would have booked a room at South Shore Inn. It is a very laid back hotel. Good breakfast, easy to get to pool. Daniel at the front desk and Sandy from housekeeping very very helpful. Sandy went out of her way to get me milk and syrup for my kids breakfast after breakfast closed. I had brought pancakes and cereal to my kids, but forgot syrup and milk. If I end up coming back next year, this will be where i stay.

It was a nice 2 queen bed room great service and nice picnic area and has a great hot tub and the kids loved the pool with 2 slides What an amazing place to stay very friendly and nice and Sandy helped and did everything she could she was amazing and did a lot for our family to make it a wonderful place to stay Thanks Sandy

This place is very nice. We stayed here with family. The pool is nice with hot tub attached. Stays open late which is good for when you get back from cedar point. Staff is very nice. Especially appreciated sandy’s Help Went out of her way to make our visit nice. Very clean.

Stayed Hotel was clean and nice. Pool was great. Staff was friendly. Proximity to Cedar Point was excellent and the price was fantastic compared to CP hotels. Sandy at the breakfast food service was very friendly. Decent continental breakfast with hot pancake maker.

Exterior of the hotel very dated, interior newly renovated, though not to the level of the chains. AC wall unit was the loudest I've ever heard - kept me up all night. Beware the floor to ceiling window by the door - if your not careful people walking by can see into your room. We were just looking for a place to stop off as we were traveling on the 4th. While the front desk staff was nice, they were the least helpful/knowledgable about the town I've encountered. I was a bit surprised they couldn't tell me where the local fireworks were. Despite being much cheaper than the other hotels in the area, I'm not sure it was worth the cost savings. Though the pancake machine was cool, no other hot items for breakfast.

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to submit your review. Although we have an older property with a classic open brick look, the interiors of our rooms were just recently renovated with new beds, carpeting, drapery and more. In fact 75% of our AC's have been replaced with brand new, quieter and more efficient units in just the past year and we plan to have all units converted in the next 12 months. All our rooms have mesh curtains and blackout curtains for your privacy, which can be closed or opened to your preference. We are continually looking to improve our breakfast while also keeping it as a free amenity for all our guests. We have a large selection of items including pancakes, waffles, cereal, donuts, bagels, muffins, toast, yogurt and our coffee and juice is free all day as well. As we are a family owned, independent motel, customer satisfaction is a top priority for us and we are sorry we did not live up to your exceptions, we will work hard to improve for all our future guests.

Great location to Cedar Point! Minutes from the entrance. Front Desk staff super friendly both on the phone and once we arrived. They have breakfast which includes a pancake maker, donuts, muffins, toast, cereal and fruit. Coffee and juices as well. Typical standard room with a mini fridge. Nice outdoor pool with a slide. Everything was clean. Would definitely go back.

This trip was everything we needed! The hotel was very CLEAN and really nice. The housekeeping did a great job and the room looked amazing. We really appreciated that we were close to the pool and that it was open so late. The breakfast was great and the prices weren’t bad. The check in was very quick and the front desk agent Shiv was super sweet and a very professional young gentleman and he was very polite and asked us how we were doing. Over all one of the best hotels, I have ever been to.
