My overall experience at NCAT has been good. I know a lot of people have had different experiences, but living in an all-girls dorm has spared me many of the issues some of my peers in coed dorms faced. I also appreciate the quietness of my campus and the local area. Not much happens on campus, but when there are events, they are big events. NCAT is a social media school, so people’s intentions in coming here can be quite different from the reality. Overall, I enjoy it and wish to continue my journey here for the next three years.
As an upcoming freshmen to NC A&T university I hope that all the stars I rated it are just as true as I want it to be.
My overall experience with a&t was a different experience. I wasn’t used to being at a hbcu considering the fact I graduated from a preparatory school but overall it’s fun and very welcoming and serious about there pride
Overall I think North Carolina A&T State University is the greatest HBCU. I love the campus, the over atmosphere. One of the best things about campus is the campus events. Aggies Fest, Fairs, Blood drives, wellness day activities and so many more.
I’ve enjoyed most of my Professors. The professors at A&T and dedicated to the success of their students. The connects made with some professors will never be broken.
I think the things to be improved on is campus safety! We recently had an active shooter on campus and it was the scariest event to ever happen on campus during my time at the University. The safety of students should be the University’s number one concern. It would be refreshing and comforting to see more campus police out and active on campus 24/7. This would make students feel safer, and help keep predators away.

North Carolina A&T State University has been a pivotal part of stepping into adulthood. I’ve been able to network, connect and make meaningful friendships and relationships. There is a level of comfort I have found at this HBCU that I could not have found at another university. Receiving a higher level of education by many teachers who look like you, is a very special experience. NCAT gives you great opportunities to build communities and make your home away from home. There is always a fun activity for students on campus which helps people get out of their rooms and have fun. This HBCU was the perfect match for me.
It’s a good school, great environment to meet people and grow into yourself. A great school for connections, as well. Financial aid and administration are hard to deal with, and they do like to take as much money from students as possible so sometimes it's hard to get aid done correctly.
During my time at A&T I’ve learned and been able to do hands on work within my major. I’ve met people who I hope stick with me throughout my college life and wish success upon me. The professors try their hardest to get to every student and help. I can definitely they’ve helped me a lot and my grades reflect their that.
Being a student at the illustrious North Carolina A&T is a truly unique experience . From dorm life , to academics , to the party scene you name it . My hbcu makes me feel comfortable in my own skin . My time at North Carolina A&T was enriching. I enjoyed the vibrant campus life and the strong sense of community. The academic programs were rigorous and the faculty supportive. However, I'd like to see more resources allocated towards mental health services for students.
Initially coming into North Carolina A&T State University I was a transfer student coming from a community college, and with the school being bigger than I was used to I had to adjust to being on a bigger campus with more students and more things going on. Over time as I began to adjust to the new school I started to enjoy my time a my new school. I began to enjoy being around black culture and learning about different cultures and backgrounds whether it be the African community, Haitian community, or my own community the African American community. All though I am enjoying my time at North Carolina A&T there are some changes that I would like to see. Once of these changes is more parking spaces for students. As a student who is trying to get to class it gets frustrating driving around campus trying to find parking spaces, and not being able to find one and as a result being late or not making it to class.
I love North Carolina A&T because of its commitment to academic rigor and its supportive, community-oriented atmosphere. The university offers unparalleled opportunities for research and professional development, guided by experienced faculty. The diverse student body and active campus life create a sense of belonging and enrich my college experience. Moreover, the enduring "Aggie Pride" fosters a deep connection to the university’s legacy and traditions, making my time here truly memorable.
My first semester of college was challenging but I never gave up and continued working hard. College is all about experiencing new opportunities and learning about ourselves and our majors.
My experience at A&T has been one to remember. I’m done with freshman year and sadly I didn’t do my best due to stress and confusion. I take full responsibility for my work ethic and how I handled my classes. It can be tough graduating and leaving home to start college and a new life from the one you’ve known. I am grateful for all that I have learned and I know what I have to do to be successful during my second year. North Carolina A&T is by far the best HBCU ever! no exaggeration. I was truly fascinated by the culture and the endless opportunities. I hope that I live out my expectations for myself at A&T and that I graduate feeling accomplished. During my first year I was confused, depressed, thrilled, and delighted. I knew nothing about being away from home but I survived by myself and networking allowed me to conquer my fears. What I would like to see change is the interaction between some professors, I know it’s college but some professors truly just look at their job as money.
Overall I have enjoyed my experience at my illustrious HBCU. Although the housing selection process is a bit of a mess, as well as trying to find parking on campus, the many opportunities I have been given through campus events and career fairs make up for it. The community itself is also very welcoming and I feel as if we each support each other as fellow Aggies and encourage one of another.
At North Carolina A&T, I immersed myself in a diverse academic environment that provided a solid foundation for my future endeavors. Engaging in rigorous coursework, collaborative projects, and extracurricular activities, I honed my skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. Through internships and research opportunities facilitated by the university, I gained practical experience and developed a deeper understanding of my field. Overall, my time at North Carolina A&T was transformative, shaping me into a well-rounded individual ready to contribute positively to any professional setting.
Great school, offering a mix of culture and discovering your identity. This school also offers great professional networking opportunities with companies such as Tesla, Bank of America, Boeing, and More!

Overall, North Carolina A&T State University is a prestigious institution that provides students with a supportive environment to pursue their academic and professional goals.
I had a pretty good experience, I love the community and people everyone seems nice and outgoing. For the most part i have had good professors but i have had some that i did not like.
During my tenure at NCAT I had a very good time. I had many professors that educated me well and I made tons of friends throughout this time that I will remember for the rest of my life. I was able to learn, mature, and grow and make the best of my circumstances as a first generation college student.
The campus life is very lively. There as always opportunities to do things around campus. Everyone is super welcoming and treat you like family.
I wish there were more options related to food on and near campus. The Chick-fil-A is okay, but the other restaurants either close early or don't have the greatest quality of food when it comes to taste. I would like there to be a Panera near campus or a boba place.
