Sacramento Country Day School Reviews
Rating 4.15 out of 5 27 reviews
Our children have had a great experience at Sacramento Country Day School. Everyone from the faculty, staff, administration, sports, arts , facilities, etc. are welcoming, engaging and focused on the needs of the child and meeting the child where they are. It is a small school which has limited sports teams, however, because of that kids who didn't grow up playing baseball or soccer in grammar school can join and get to play in high school. The arts are supported and encouraged. Also because of the small class size the kids get to know others and not just stick to their own "group". It encourages hanging out with kids that they wouldn't hang out with at a larger school and learning about different cultures, ethnicities, etc.
Wonderful place to work and go to school. Excellent students and teachers. More funding needed for theater and music departments. Some facilities need improvements, but the school is actively working on funding and planning for future developments.
I wish the art department got a little bit more funding. As of right now most of the money goes to the Stem based classes, and clubs. Meanwhile the art department is barely hanging on
