It has been an incredibly supportive, inclusive and nurturing experience for my child. The teacher's genuinely care for the children.
If you have a Black son, don’t choose this school. I thought that giving my son a great education would be enough, but realistically, there’s a tiny amount of Black people and an even smaller amount of black boys at the lower school. Over time, this “othering” takes its toll on your child. They lack culture. They lack diversity and don’t want it. Since we’ve been here we’ve noticed less and less black boys being admitted, this year only 1 in a pre-first class of over 100. This is not an accident. I’ve seen the removal of black history month events, and any semblance of black culture from the school overall. This feels like no accident as well. They don’t want us here and they don’t make it a secret.
My advice, if you’re on the fence on whether to choose this school or not, this is your sign to run in the other direction. They don’t want you there and are making very little effort to make the small black community that goes there feel like they belong.

The Westminster Schools has the academic rigor fit for a college preparatory school, offering a challenging environment that allows students to think critically, explore interests, and develop the skills necessary for the future. However, improvements in how clubs and other extracurricular activities are regulated could be made so that all student-led clubs and organizations on campus are active and constantly making progress.
I think this is the best school in Atlanta, GA, to get your kid ready for college in all aspects. The resources that the school offers are top-notch in all areas. The way the school is set up to prepare your child for college is the best that I could find in Atlanta, Ga.
The Westminster Schools are great. I feel that they have done a great job preparing my daughter for college.
Westminster is a very academically strong private school in Atlanta with great sport programs. The best part is how safe and high quality the facilities are. Depending on your academic needs, there are many different options for many classes to take more or less rigorous classes. For the average "study hard and go to college" person, they will thrive here. I do wish the administration office was more accessible; however, the experience was, overall, quite wonderful.
I went to another school before attending Westminster. Both were private, Christian schools, located in Atlanta. While the first school I went to did not promote inclusion, Westminster does a fantastic job. As a Jewish student, I can see that they try to make a serious effort to make everyone feel included. I am truly impressed by the work Westminster has tried to do. I believe that if they keep up their efforts, students will be better educated for the world they will face outside of the classroom.
Westminster is a non-denominational, Christian day school in Atlanta. While it may be considered a more “competitive” academic environment, as a student I’ve only been met with support, encouragement, and kindness from teachers, students, and coaches.
I don’t like the feel. I get a decent schooling, but I completely dissagree with the rating. This school is very ugh.
We were considering a few other Atlanta area private schools few years ago and upon research and talking to experienced parents/faculty, we had chosen Westminster over others at the time. This is our 6th year at Westminster and we have been very pleased with our decision! The school thoroughly plans the curriculum for each grade level and continues to provide a challenging yet very supportive and caring environment for students. My child has really thrived at Westminster under its rigorous program, their teaching philosophy, unlimited resources, wide choices of extra-curricular activities and their athletic program! It's truly school that pushes a student to do their very best in not just academics and sports but also in the community to make a difference and be a well-rounded individual! No doubt the school is highly selective in student body and faculty; and they take the admission process seriously. Despite a large campus, it offers a tight community with many parents involvements!
pretty bad place, kids are overstressed, no guidance, people send their children here to not know that they will be overhwelemd constantly, without seeking any help, counslelers do not chekc in with students instead you must go to them, when going to a school this diificult there is no reason why consulers should not have regular check ups on the students
The diverse expertise of this school allows students of all different walks of life to connect and discuss. Fantastic preparatory programs for higher education.
I'm very happy with my school. I love all the different resources that Westminster offer. I have made a lot of friends and I know for a fact that Westminster has better prepared me for college than any other school I could have gone to in Atlanta ga.
If you want your young children to think about differences between black White Asians, gender change, or becoming racist, then this school is for you. I don't want my children to think of anything about races besides academics like Math, Science. Everyone should be the same and equal. In my children's eyes, Black, White, and Asian are the same. Westminster should not promote hatred toward any group. Ending racism is not about promoting hatred of others. As far as I know, some schools like AIS are the same. They are very discriminate toward unvaccinated. This is the information Westminster did. defendinged.org/incidents/the-westminster-schools-in-atlanta-uses-its-largest-in-the-nation-endowment-to-make-5-million-anti-racism-pledge/
I am grateful for all the provisions Westminster made to keep our children safe these last two years. The weekly testing helped our children continue to learn in person. This provided to be very valuable in many ways. Academically, sports and social settings.
I valued the challenging and nevertheless supportive environment at the school, which extended to not only academics but extracurriculars as well.
I've really thrived at Westminster over the past several years. I have enjoyed the clubs and activities, but more importantly the friendships I've made and the education I'm receiving. Although a bigger campus from the one I transferred from, it feels like home.
Great place to learn with many options for every different interest. Many sports options, clubs, groups.
Will give your child anxiety but they’ll get into college. Definitely some problems with racism. Teachers are mostly very good, a few are very bad and have been at the school too long.
Controversial and non-age appropriate curriculum is being rolled out to students despite parents voicing concerns. This school is not concerned about transparency. There are much better choices available.
