Meghan Catherine O'Brien Obituary

Meghan C. O’Brien, 34, and her unborn baby daughter, Brooklynn Shea O’Brien were taken unexpectedly Monday, April 8, 2024 while watching the solar eclipse in upstate New York surrounded by her loving family. Meghan was the daughter of James O’Brien, Jr. and Erin A. (Terry) Marsella and the step-daughter of Anthony C. Marsella and Lisa O’Brien. She also leaves her two sons James O’Brien and Jaxson DaCosta who were the light of her life and her loving partner, Steven Delmonico. She was the sister of Ryan Marsella and the late Daniel O’Brien and step-sister of Gregory Marsella. She was also the granddaughter of Margaret “Nanny” O’Brien, the late Mary W. Terry, James O’Brien, Sr. and Edwin Terry. Meghan also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly. She was a graduate of Cranston West High School and Lincoln Tech where she studied cosmetology. She was also a certified nursing assistant. Meghan was a creative artist and very athletic. She enjoyed working at the Trudeau Center for women with dementia and loved working with “her ladies”. She had an infectious personality and always put a smile on everyone’s face.


Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11am in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane, Warwick. Interment will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Michael J. Terry Fund, donations can be made out to Brothers of Our Lady of Providence, PO Box 72832, Providence, RI 02907 will be appreciated.
