The 7th grade Orland Park Magic will be holding tryouts for the upcoming season. Practice will begin in September.
Games will begin in late October/early November and the season will be done before March 1st.

2017 14u Orland Park Magic – Dave Lovitt - Manager

Players should come to the tryout game day ready, with equipment, water and dressed in baseball attire.  We are currently planning one tryout date:

• Saturday July 16th from 10am – 11:30 on Orland Park Centennial Field #4
• RAINOUT ALTERNATE: Sunday July 17^th 12:30-2:00 Centennial #3

We will also try to accommodate private tryouts upon request. 

If weather is an issue, we will post a rainout makeup date on our Website OPMagic.org.

We will focus on training and core competency development with an emphasis on speed and agility training, utilizing professional instruction.  We will participate in indoor winter training also focused on speed and agility, along with hitting, fielding and currently plan for it to continue up to the start of the 2017 season.

We are looking to fill four to five spots for our 2017 14u Magic – Lovitt Team and are looking for utility infielders and outfielders specifically.  Experienced pitching and catching is a plus, and should be noted on your application. 

We expect to play in 5-7 tournaments throughout the season, along with 35-40 Divisional games and scrimmages.

This is a full time baseball program and will require a strong commitment to the team.

2017 14u Orland Park Magic – Tony Wrenn - Manager

We play 50 to 60 games in a season includes 6 to 7 tournaments within the IL/IND/WIS borders.  We train at Future Stars Academy in Mokena under the professional teaching from former MLB players.  Each one of our players received lessons in hitting/pitching and catching as part of their membership fee. Our goal is to prepare players for high school baseball, with focus on mechanics, fundamentals, and the mental approach to the game.
