Who Is Candace Owens’ Husband? All About George Farmer

Candace Owens has grown a large following on social media as part of her career as a conservative political commentator, but her husband, British businessman George Farmer, prefers to keep a lower profile.

When they met, Farmer was working for the U.K.’s branch of the conservative advocacy group Turning Point USA, while Owens served as the group’s communications director in the U.S., coordinating speaking events in London.

“I was quite involved in British politics at the time, so it kind of made sense,” Farmer told Pints With Aquinas podcast in 2022 of meeting his future wife. “I'd heard of her organization, or organizations called BLEXIT, which is the Black exit from progressive policies. And, you know, I was very involved in Brexit so it was kind of like a synergy there.”

The pair met in 2018, married in 2019 and have since welcomed three children.

So, who is Candace Owens’ husband? Here’s everything to know about George Farmer and his relationship with the conservative commentator.

His father is a member of Parliament

Farmer is the son of Lord Michael Farmer, the founder of British trading conglomerate Metal & Commodity Company Ltd. Lord Farmer is also a member of the House of the Lords, the upper house of the United Kingdom’s Parliament.

He was the CEO of Parler

Farmer served as the CEO of Parler, a now inactive conservative social media platform, which launched in August 2018 and touted a “free speech alternative” to other social networks. The app saw a surge in users, including former President Donald Trump, who opposed the moderation tactics of other platforms. After reports surfaced that Parler was allegedly used to coordinate the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, the app was removed from large streaming platforms, including Apple, Amazon and Google.

In October 2022, it was announced that Kanye West, who goes by Ye, planned to buy the conservative social app.

"Ye's acquiring of Parler will strengthen our ability to create an uncancelable ecosystem,” Farmer said in a statement about the impending acquisition. "Parler will remain a place where everyone can think, listen, and speak freely. We will continue the fight against censorship, cancel culture, and authoritarianism."

The deal was called off later that year, and the platform was shut down by its new owner in April 2023, per The Wall Street Journal.

He asked Owens to marry him during a FaceTime call

Farmer asked Owens to marry him during a FaceTime call on Dec. 29, 2018, just 17 days after meeting her for the first time.

“I was actually flying to South Africa at the time for New Year's and I called her and I just said, ‘Listen, I know this is completely crazy, and we've just met but, how do you feel about getting married to me?’ Just real quick,” Farmer explained to Australian podcaster and professor Matt Fradd during an episode of Pints With Aquinas.

The whirlwind romance meant Owens and Farmer did not date before getting engaged.

“We hadn't gone on a date. We had not talked about marriage or the future or anything,” Farmer told Fradd. “It was very much a God thing. The Lord was in control of that whole process.”

He and Owens didn’t announce their engagement until February 2019

Farmer said the couple waited to announce their engagement news.

“It was kind of too much for a lot of people to process,” Farmer said during a 2022 episode of Pints With Aquinas. “They just thought that it was like a joke. And so we kind of held back announcing it and I think we've finally actually put something out about it ... in February.”

On Valentine’s Day in 2020, Owens commemorated the pair’s engagement anniversary with a carousel of photos and a video on Instagram. In the gallery, Owens shared photos from their wedding and a video of a private moment between them on the beach.

“A year ago today, my Valentine slipped a ring onto my finger and asked me how I felt about forever. ‘What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate’. Matthews 19:6,” she captioned the post.

He and Owens initially wed in a private ceremony

More than a year after their wedding, Owens revealed on Instagram the couple wanted a small ceremony for just the two of them before their “big day.” On Aug. 6, 2019, they wed in a private ceremony.

“I had never envisioned having a big wedding,” Owens wrote in a 2020 Instagram post featuring photos from their private ceremony. “I was never one of those girls who grew up dreaming of my wedding day at all. So three weeks before the ‘big day’ we decided, why not have a ‘small day’? Why not get married before the wedding — just you and I?”

Owens shared in the caption that their wedding planner, Dickie Morris, put the small ceremony together in less than 48 hours and served as the witness. She also thanked their pastor for keeping the ceremony a secret.

He and Owens exchanged vows in front of friends and family in August 2019

Owens and Farmer made their union official in front of friends and family at Trump Winery in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Aug. 31, 2019. To celebrate, Owens shared a photo from the day with the celebratory caption, “The Honorable George and Candace Farmer,” featuring a red heart emoji.

Owens wore three dresses, all made by Monique Lhuillier, and Farmer donned a morning suit with tails featuring a blue tie.

He and Owens share three children

The couple became parents on Jan. 13, 2021, when they welcomed their first child, a son.

“It’s true what they say — the whole world stops when your child is born,” Owens captioned a photo of the infant wearing a pom pom hat.

In July 2022, Owens and Farmer welcomed their second child and first daughter, Louise Marie Farmer.

Earlier that year, Farmer spoke about parenting on an episode of First Class Fatherhood, a podcast focused on dads and fatherhood.

“I think when you’re a young man in your twenties, you can probably be perceived as being like the king of the world, you can do your own thing, you can become sort of a master of your own little universe,” he said. “(But) life is so much richer when you’re not the master of your own universe. When you actually do have dependents and a family and relationships around you that mean something.”

On Nov. 20, 2023, Farmer and Owens welcomed their third child and second son, Max.

"He is a wonderful addition to our family. It puts everything into perspective," the political commentator said on the Candace Owens Podcast.
