You must have your router’s passphrase/network key in order to configure your range extender.
Before proceeding with the following instructions, make sure your Windows 10 device is connected to your router’s wireless network.
To view your router’s passphrase or network key that is saved on your Windows 10 computer:
- Select the search box icon in your task bar on the bottom left of your Windows desktop.
- Enter “view network connections” in the search box.
A list of results displays.
- Select View network connections from the search results list.
- In the Network Connections section, right-click your network name and select Status > Wireless Properties.
- Select the Security tab.
- Select Show characters.
The password for the wireless network is displayed in the Network security key field.
