Beautiful Basilica and lovely to visit. We did a self guided tour and the tour material was very easy to follow.
The security staff was very friendly and very helpful!

The Hippodrome is a great place to enjoy musicals on tour. The seats are comfortable, and the venue is classic theater. The bar offers nice pours of cocktails and great popcorn to enjoy at your seat. Do not even think of bringing any food (we could not even bring a doggy bag from the restaurant where we dined prior to the show). However, I saw a number of patrons pulling bags of candy out of their purses even though we were castigated for bringing food from a restaurant which was going home. Bartenders are very friendly, and everyone is professional although the security folks seem like the airport screeners and could take a few lessons in customer service. Of course, depending on the quality of the show makes the visit to the Hippodrome even more enjoyable. (Peter Pan was mediocre at best and like an amateur production).

This was definitely a step up from the National Children’s Museum in DC. Not nearly as grand as the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, but I think nothing can beat that ever.
This was a fun experience. 3 floors of activities. Free lockers and coat room in the snack area. Everything is clean looking. What I loved the most is that sanitizers were abundant. I am confident this place is a concentration of germs so that helps. There was a child licking every block in the quiet area and then throwing them around. Two caretakers and no effort to stop her from doing that so sanitize hands after every room if you don’t want to pick something up here. Staff just can’t keep up with the massive amount of children and rotations.
Con: no cafe, no real food. Junk is plentiful and I almost wish it wasn’t in the lunch area at all because it’s hard to keep kids away from it. But prices were reasonable in the vending machines.
Also, there is a bonus that kids eat free at the glass gazebo right next to Port Discovery if you present your Port Discovery ticket. We didn’t use it as we had plenty of food with us, but I am sure that will be an added bonus and the grounds look beautiful.

Absolutely lovely museum covering the history of the end of slavery and Civil Rights Movement. Had no idea about some of what the museum mentioned in the exhibits - e.g. the Emancipation Proclamation only applied to those states that succeeded, ergo it wasn't until the following year that all were freed in the state of Maryland.

A must visit for any history buff. Located a short 10 minute walk along the waterfront from the inner harbor.

Beautiful historical neighborhood in Baltimore. The roads are pathed in bricks. Park in honor of Peabody, plus the library and university. Also, Washington Monument.

Love going to this Barnes & Noble. The staff is also great and friendly. When the weather is nice, the deck overlook is absolutely the best and the morning barista is truly wonderful and friendly. She makes perfect latte every time and great to talk to.

It was near us and we did not realize it is more of a food court than a market (that is open once a week.) I didn't read the history but I imagine it was once a great market for fresh food. If you want something a little uicker or just want your meal to be a little cheaper and aren't in need of ambiance or service, this gives you lots otions. Easier to manage kids if you have them. If we had known exactkly what it was we likely would have eaten two or three times over our week long stay.

Not much of a market. Plenty of small food places which looked spotlessly clean. Food looked tasty and plentiful but we only needed a cold drink and a sit down

I was in Baltimore for other business and stumbled upon the memorial. One is never prepared for such a moving site -- especially for those who might not know of it in advance. One can spend as much time as one needs to to ponder the need to remember the Holocaust.

This cemetery holds the remains of many famous Baltimore people. I don't want to be incorrect so I wont offer any names. But a google search will tell you. Tours available.

Free on site parking. Docent led tour of 3 story furnished house from 1808, and nearby “neo-gothic” (brick) chapel. I had the great good fortune that docent Jackie was available at noon to provide tour. She was extremely knowledgable and articulate about the life of Elizabeth Seton, and the history and significance of the seminary and chapel, and historic baltimore founders of several orders.

This church is a Baltimore "must see". Founded in 1692, its one of the oldest churches in Baltimore. The architecture and sculptures are simply stunning.

Charles Village is the area around Johns Hopkins University (not the medical school campus on the east side.) There is a nice, expansive park: Wyman Park, which is in the area surrounding the BMA, another good feature of the neighborhood. The BMA also has a great restaurant: Gertrude's. This is a great area to stroll around and take photos. Many of the houses south of 33rd and east of Charles have been painted in the 'painted ladies' style and are cool to check out. There is a decent selection of restaurants, some chain and some local, along 33rd on St. Paul as well. Don't leave valuables visible in your car and pay attention to your surroundings but this is a generally safe area.

Saint Mary's Park, the heart of Seton Hill, is the largest open green space in downtown Baltimore on the West Side. The huge grassy areas and mature shade trees, and lovely nineteenth century rowhouses in the background make a beautiful back drop for events. The community run French Fair and Bike Party are just two spectacular events.
