Known for her beautiful bangs and iconic smokey eye, it's hard to believe her skin is so flawless when she doesn't have a skin routine, not even a makeup wipe.

British TV host, newspaper columnist, model and mum of three's skin routine entails of her getting in the shower in the morning and hoping at least some of it will come off, and for Winkleman that's enough.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Winkleman said, "I go to bed with as much make-up on as I can so I look cooler in my dreams."

We can all only hope her bed sheets aren't white, but for Winkleman, stained bed sheets don't pose much of a problem. In fact, she sort of likes it. She also told OK! Magazine, "I find that quite charming, a bit studenty and almost erotic".

While this seems to work for her, it is not something many dermatologists or skincare experts would recommend. The side-effects of not removing your make-up before bed include breakouts, irritated skin, dry skin, dried up eyelashes, eye irritation and more. But it seems as if Claudia's skin is made out of the tough stuff.

That's not to say all of our faces could take such tough love like Claudia's does. Makeup artist and CEO of make up brand Sculpted by Aimee, Aimee Connolly, says that: "Wearing makeup every day can be tough on the skin and even worse if you don't remove it."

"There are a small minority of us who can get away with not removing our makeup but for most of us it just clogs the pores and leaves us with blemishes the next day - myself included. When you cleanse your face, not only are you hopefully removing your makeup, but there's lots of added benefits such as exfoliating, de-greasing or brightening the skin. One of the most common areas affected by not removing your makeup is blackheads and will only worsen if you don't remove your makeup correctly".

A mix of a good skin care routine as well as beauty sleep will help towards giving you that glowing complexion each day.

The only routine it appears Claudia Winkleman seems to have is called the "full-face-of-make-up-to-bed" routine. In the immortal words of comedian Amy Poehler, "Great for you! Not for me!"
