David Lawrence Geffen (born February 21, 1943) is an American businessman, best known for founding Asylum Records, Geffen Records, DGC Records, and DreamWorks SKG.
In "Old West", Peter sets up a cutaway gag centered on David, although only an image of him is shown, and Peter heaps praise on him afterwards. He explains that this is due to David paying the showrunners a large sum of money to not poke fun at him. Later, it is revealed that as another part of the settlement, David's name must now be placed on a part of the Griffin Home.
