We ate here on our first night in NO. We were able to sit outside and watch the sights and the people. The food was excellent and so was the service.

This place is overrated. It definitely wasn't as good as I had heard. I expected way more in the food and service for the price and atmosphere.

To start, a hat-tip to the Herbsaint staff for their flexibility and good humor -- dinner for two to celebrate her birthday -- sitting outside, which was fortunate. Unbeknownst to us, her friends had engaged an Elvis imitator to present her with balloons and a serenade -- which arrived during our cocktails, to the great entertainment of all present. One of the fine meals among many we enjoyed duriing our visit to the city. HIghlights were the fried oyster appetizer, duck leg confit as my main course and one of the finest among countless over the years, and a spicy side of baby carrots for a bit of extra zing. Easy to note this congenial spot as a "must return" on our next visit.

After we checked into our hotel, this was the first stop we hit. We just stumbled upon the spot randomly, but it was a real treat. I especially liked the citrus salad and Asiago dip. Super cute little restaurant!

All restaurants are crazy busy during Mardi Gras, but this one shines. We've been to this restaurant several times over the years, and it continues to be outstanding. Food absolutely stellar, as was service. Setting is terrific as is lighting. The gumbo is to die-for. My husband loves the duck, and I had the oysters which were the best! Don’t miss this one.

We booked a table for two well in advance for a trip to NOLA as part of our honeymoon trip. Upon arrival, we were seated at a table for two in a row of four tables, all sharing a back bench. Unfortunately, the tables were so close together that they had to be moved every time someone wanted out. Our planned romantic meal was dominated by loud conversations at the tables on either side of us. Our table was butt swiped every time other diners got up. And although the food was lovely, we felt like second-class customers in comparison to tables of four. The dining experience was sacrificed for the sake of profit. If a diner cannot get out from their table without asking strangers who are eating to move their table, the tables are TOO close together. Ultimately, we were disappointed .

This was our first visit to Herbsaint. It has been on my list of must trys for awhile now. We had a party of 6 and ordered everything on the appetizer menu plus a few entrées. The service was top notch as was the food. My absolute favorites were the waygu bolognese and the lamb skewers for appetizers. We had the jumbo shrimp as our entree and it was so good! It is definitely a place I will visit again and recommend to my friends.

We came here for a friend's birthday and the food and drink selections were very delicious! The prices are a bit on the higher end but it is expected for the type of place and occasion. We had a wonderful evening!

We spent an evening in a boiler factory disguised as a restaurant. The noise level was deafening as drunken conventioneers were at full throttle. The service was very slow and the food not hot. Three different managers spoke to us, but all admitted that this was the norm, not unusual. One manager mentioned that they already had one patron pass out a table that evening. Another said that one group had been asked to leave. Evidently, the place is on convention's "must do" list so beware and take your ear plugs if you must go. Many other better options in NOLA.

We had the gumbo and spaghetti to start. Deep roux in the gumbo and the egg added a rich creaminess to the spaghetti. Both the chicken and duck were great entrees, but the duck was the best I’ve ever had.

Delicious and perfectly presented food!!! Truely an amazing restaurant and you have to check it out if you’re in New Orleans!!! We were seated in the inside room which is very cosy and nice. Our waiter was super helpful but our waitress was plain rude and abrupt!!!! No hospitality skills none whatsoever!!!! Pity because it ruined our lunch somehow

Food consistently perfect and explorative! Staff: knowledgeable, challengeable, and supportive to the customer to direct them in the right choice. Ambience, awesome! I have never had a bad meal here, nor a bad server, and the receptionist a gem, tonight we had the Cote De Boeuf, And as directed by our waiter, Randy, we went ahead and had it done medium, normally I would’ve had it, medium rare, Randy hit it out of the park, the piece of meat was perfect! The dirty rice was dirty and perfecto. We had this citrus salad thing which should actually be made a dessert, outstanding! Lastly, the desert, we had banana brown butter tart, if the cartels had this recipe, they would capture the world. Wine list is outstanding I recommend the 2018 Massolino Barolo with the above. Male bathroom, modern and clean.

A truly great restaurant that has always been on point. Great service e aside very underwhelmed by last nights food. Fried oysters were battered about three times more than necessary. Then the steak was served cold, sent back only to have returned cold. Too many choices in NOLA,,, sorry Herbsaint I’ve dined with with you for the last time.

Awful service. 1 hour food delay after appetizer…manager barely apologized, said main course was on its way and then still a wait. Portions small, service horrible and food mediocre. Restaurant is way overrated.

The restaurant is very good with Al fresco seating. The short rib is essentially one and one half bites, the ceviche was mostly cucumbers, disappointing, the lamb skewer is Kofta though very tasty. The salad was excellent as were the drinks.
