I’m in this class rn! It may be different in person than it is online but it’s pretty chill. We have history “projects” instead of essays, altho i think the final is gonna end up being an essay

I had Henderson for one of the history 2 classes (I can’t remember if it’s 2b or 2c) in person and he’s very cool and caring. He’s super funny and does his best to make the material interesting too. He really cares about his students and his class should be an easy A if you pay an ounce of attention (I fell asleep in class many times and still got that A)

i took 2c with henderson in fall 2019. he was awesome. the class was taught as “world history from below”, and he integrated a bunch of stories and themes from people around the world resisting back against repression, colonialism, etc. we read a book about the live of an enslaved woman and it was horrific and heartbreaking. would definitely recommend this class!

i took it my freshman year. jarrett is a super engaging professor and you can definitely tell he’s really passionate about history. i think it was graded on a map quiz, a few essays (based on readings not really lectures), section grade, a pretty easy final
