May 05, 2018: Mumbai Indians (MI) kept their playoff hopes high after a 6-wicket win over Kings XI Punjab in their IPL last night. Chasing 175 runs, MI had a cautious start. Both openers Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis were taking a reserved approach early but as the game progressed they began hitting the boundaries.

Chasing 212, DD's Rishabh Pant and Vijay Shankar struck quickfire half-centuries to give CSK a late scare but in the end, the visitors managed 198/5 in 20 overs, slumping to their sixth defeat of the ongoing season to continue to languish at the bottom of the points table.
