We can not recommend Eaglebrook more highly. I’m surprised by the one bad review but not by the many positive ones. Our son's experience at Eaglebrook has been deeply impactful. He has grown and matured by leaps and bounds. He has learned to take responsibility for himself academically, socially and athletically; while still always being held and lead by EB’s attentive and supportive environment. He has improved athletically and academically far beyond the years time he has attended, being awarded for his accomplishments and encouraged to continue to reach higher. Most importantly he is beginning to grow into a young man and become himself. He stands taller and with more confidence. He is proud of himself, as he should be. He is learning what he wants in life and where wants to go. He is gaining the skills and confidence needed to get himself there. He is in an environment at EB with wonderful friends and role models. Eaglebrook will change your son’s life.
Eaglebrook School has been a life changing experience for me. 10/10 would recommend, but don't come here if you're too immature or young for a boarding community. Kids are generally nice if you act normal.
This boy-only school has numerous physical conflict issues. We worry about our son’s safety. The teachers/school do not do much to prevent the physical conflicts among students.
Selective availability is limited, for example, it is NOT guaranteed that a student may be able to select piano every semester.
The school usually gives band and club priority to 9th graders or 8 graders although the 7th and 6th graders pay the same tuition.
There is only ONE bathroom inside of the building of 6th graders. Some poor boy even peed the pants and embarrassed to quit the school.
Most students have private tutors and even private high school admission counselors for intensive competition.
