This is like a less famous Dave's. I think it's very good. I would recommend beef with black bean and yellow rice for sides. The candied yams are also good; however, like a desert, I would recommend sharing it-cuz it's v rich

      Lots of meats!

I've been to all locations. But this was first time at the grand ave. I like this setting the best.

Small but nice patio. cheap HH drinks.

      Tacos are 2 star
Meats on the menu 4 star
      Sides 3.5 stars

FAVORITE: beef, yuca fries (the green sauce that comes with it, lime garlic pork

I think the chicken plate is too rich, too much gravy. Odd choice for this South American style menu

I've been wanting to come back since I first visited two years ago, and Brasa did not disappoint. Although we were initially told the wait would be an hour, it ended up being 20 minutes. We ordered family style and were STUFFED at the end. The chicken is amazing, so is the cornbread, and the regular sides were good as well. The yuca is one of my favorites along with chicken, but the sauce that accompanies everything is literally my favorite sauce. I think it was cilantro lime mojo? Something along those lines. The barbecue sauce was exceptional as well.

This place is fantastic. It does have a limited menu but what they make is fantastic. The place has a very casual atmosphere and also offers takeout. I would compare the menu to a traditional BBQ restaurant where you can order just meat and sides, or plates that come with a side, or sandwiches.

All the meat options are fantastic. My favorite is the beef. Their BBQ sauce is well balanced.

The rice is the bomb dot com. Cooked perfect and seasoned just right. Crispy yucca is great, basically thick dense fries. The Mac and cheese didn't blow me away though.

Overall amazing place. Great for a date night or large parties.

This food is delicious! You can order al a carte or choose one of their plates. The rotisserie chicken is phenomenal! I have also had rice and peas in the black beans and yellow rice. Both are delicious. The cornbread muffin is also delicious. Stay away from the peach cobbler. A friend of mine got that and that was not peach cobbler my friends. Overall I recommend this place for a good home style type of meal

I LOVE Brasa! Such a chill, quick & delicious stop, always with great service! This was actually the first restaurant we ate at after moving to the state and were so shocked the Midwest, in our new little neighborhood, could offer such good & shockingly cheap southern food.

Came here with a group of about 14 for a work event. They sat us at a large circular table with an pivoting center which made sharing dishes pretty simple. The restaurant was packed, but our service was still good the whole time. The patio seating looked really inviting on a warm evening.

The food was all good, right from the beginning with the chips and salsa/guac. We ordered all of the meats in the largest portion available along with several sides. The meats were all delicious, it's hard to think of a favorite. The portions were a little small for a group our size and we ended up only get a few bites of each one (but there were several options, so it was still filling). For sides, we had two kinds of beans, rice, mac n' cheese, and corn bread. The mixture of the beans and rice, paired with the meats was a great combination. The mac n' cheese was really gooey and delicious, and the corn bread was the perfect sponge to soak up all the juices on my plate.

Solid dining option, I'll be back.

We eat here often and love the food. Be sure to order a tortilla kit or two (off menu and very low price) and get nice warm tortillas, diced mild onion, cilantro and hot sauce) to enjoy your delicious savory braised meat selection with. I have NO IDEA why they do not list this on the menu. In my opinion, it is a cruel trick that they don't! It used to be listed. Some reviews note that the food is bland, and those guests clearly did not know this secret menu item takes the flavor up to 10.

The basic concept of the restaurant is the layering on of flavors, and without a vehicle for eating the delicious protein with - you would order the meat in a sandwich and not by the plateful.

Brasa is very solid, great for groups, and always satisfying. I don't mean to underestimate the restaurant with only a 3-star rating. They do what they do very well, and it's a great place for a group that wants to share a variety of things. Whenever I'm wandering up and down Grand Avenue, looking for a place to have dinner, Brasa is often the first place I'll try.

In some ways, however, I'm underwhelmed by the lack of variety. Once you try Brasa, you'll know exactly how your next experience at Brasa will be, and the next one, and so on. I think the restaurant delivers extremely well on its concept, but I'd love to see it expand beyond the concept and challenge me to re-think how it delivers its experience.
