Tyrese stars in the new film Bloodline Killer, playing a detective investigating a whodunit mystery. Speaking about the film with CBR, Tyrese addresses his role and the possibility of a franchise.
"For me, I always try my best to find that balance between shoot 'em up, bang bang, and action stuff, and lately I just find myself saying, 'Alright, if I'm going to do some stunts, or do some action stuff, I would love to do some more acting on the dramatic side," Tyrese told CBR's Kevin Polowy. "This movie afforded that opportunity for me to do drama, and do some [dramatic] acting."

Tyrese said he's "not a big horror guy," but reaffirmed how this kind of film allowed him to be "able to do some dramatic scenes and just kind of sharpen up my iron to dance again."
Will There Be a Sequel to Bloodline Killer?
As of now, Tyrese isn't sure if there will ever be plans made to make a sequel to Bloodline Killer. He hasn't had any formal talks about returning as Detective Cyphers in a follow-up film, and the actor suggested that time will tell if this could become the start of a new series of films.

Bloodline Killer stars Tyrese as a detective investigating a masked serial killer on the loose. The logline for the film reads, "Moira Cole's life is shattered following the slaying of her loved ones by her unhinged and fixated cousin, Lee Morris. Together with her two grown sons, who are also impacted by the tragedy, now lives a simple and quiet suburban life. However, Moira is reminded of the painful memories every October as her story was optioned into a successful film series.”
Ante Novakovic directed Bloodline Killer, which was written by Anthony and James Guadioso. Saw franchise star Shawnee Smith also stars alongside Tyrese, Taryn Manning, Drew Morlein, Bruce Dern, James Guadioso, Montanna Gillis, Alexander James Rodriguez, and Damian Maffei.
