Luenell is a woman of incredible talent who seems to be aging gracefully and living her life with a youthful vibrance. She is an actress, comedian, and writer whose works have influenced an amazing number of audiences.

Online, Luenell is very active and loves to communicate with her fans while they engage with the down-to-earth celebrity, sharing their thoughts on the details she makes public.

In the midst of the famed and regular fellowship with her fans, the comedian tries to bond with her offspring. Her only daughter, Da'Nelle Campbell, doubles as her lookalike.

Campbell not only inherited her mother's facial features but also the celebrity's knack for entertainment. She is a dancer who describes herself as a "real We$t Coast Chick."

While many fans gush over the recent admirable shared snaps that display the women's special relationship, not many are aware that these two had a very awkward relationship for a long time.

DA'NELLE ONCE DESPISED HER MOTHER

Less than a year ago, the younger entertainer got refreshingly candid in an interview with a spiritual expert, Iyanla on "Iyanla Fix My Life."

She was allowed to cover her face while holding signs that read "pain," "dismissive," and "rage." Campbell told her mother that she was dealing with abandonment issues because Luenell was always quick to leave.

The dancer added that her mother is not a bad parent but not a good person either. When asked to explain, she mentioned her mother's tone when talking to her, never really listened, or had an open heart.

Campbell did not hold anything back, and she told Iyanla that her mother's personality makes it hard to be honest, as this would tap on Luenell's short fuse, which ultimately deteriorates into a rage.

Iyanla listened attentively then appealed to the young woman to improve her communication skills with the celebrity. She asked a few questions and reminded Campbell that her pain could destroy her life.

LUENELL'S RESTRICTIONS ON HER DAUGHTER

Parenting does not come with a manual, and oftentimes, most celebrity parents do not have the time nor the examples to follow in order to be excellent parents.

This is because they are very involved in providing financially for their household, and they are unable to show mental and emotional support to their family when the needs arise as their careers make them unavailable.

This is the scenario between Luenell and her daughter, who mostly saw her pack, journeying to advance her career while leaving her behind to do the growing up herself.

Campbell has confessed to having abandonment issues, and these complaints were received warmly by her mother, who sat across from her.

However, while the comedian is ready to accept her fault, she is not willing to give up her rights to scold her mini-me when necessary. Last year, Luenell banned her daughter from visiting her home.

The entertainer explained that it was because her child refused to take the measures for curbing the COVID-19 virus seriously. She added that Campbell had been busy spending time with her boyfriend and friends and tried to visit her, an adult at risk of contracting the virus.

It did not end there, after Luenell instructed her daughter to stay away via a text, the celebrity shared the message via Instagram and used it as a note of warning to the younger generations.

Sadly, the message was misinterpreted, and a lot of trolls directed their attention to the dancer, which led to the young woman confronting her mother.

The actress was hurt for exposing her child to such attention and admitted that she would not put her daughter in harm's way. Still, Luenell did not relax her rules, maintaining that it was important to protect her health.

Shortly after the internet backlash, the comedian accepted her daughter but made strict rules such as no friends around, which helped protect her and her daughter's health.

FAMILY BOND

Despite being at loggerheads with her child and trying to enforce some pertinent rules, Luenell is a doting parent who is proud of the dancer. How true is that? Well, her Instagram posts say it all.

In 2018, she shared a post exalting the young lady who scored a recent achievement in the black community. The mother of one wrote:

"When [your] daughter, your Only child is living her BEST Life, holding her head Up when she wants to lay down...when she wants to quit...being an example of today's strong Black woman..."

A similar type of invaluable love is extended to Luenell's husband, except that he rarely appears on her Instagram page. He lives a rather private life, but his wife still finds time to celebrate him online.

She shared a montage of throwback photos from their 20th wedding anniversary and crowned it with a sweet caption.

The actress wrote that she never shares full details of her beloved partner because he is not a social media person, which she respects. In the end, Campbell's mom added:

"Thank you honey for riding with a baddie for all these years...Luv you baby...Your wifey Luenell. I guess I'll read this to him since he doesn't have IG."

Luenell is not the only one who would show love online in the family. The comedian's strong genes also blessed her lookalike dancer daughter with an interest in doting online.

When Luenell turned 61, Campbell shared an amazing post with a captivating message to her mother, adding words of endearment, appreciation and urged fans to celebrate the icon and wish her a happy birthday.

These two show that despite their rocky past, nothing surpasses forgiveness and the ability to be open to changes, as family love is the greatest
