Don’t Even

This was my first attempt to fly Spirit Airlines. I say attempt because it never actually happened. My flight was cancelled 3 hours before takeoff, right after I had been told I won a seat bid for an exit row seat and my account had been charged. No explanation, no attempt to get me on another flight, just “screw you”. If you actually want to go somewhere, spend a little more and fly someone reputable. It’s going to take 2 weeks to get my refund, and no human contact whatsoever. Just “ live chat “. They suck!

Customer arrived at the departure…

Customer arrived at the departure location. Prior to doing so the customer uses the pre-check-in feature on the SPIRIT APP. Upon doing so the customer received confirmation of bag check and a QR CODE for boarding. Once in the terminal the customer used the KIOSK to confirm boarding. After the KIOSK the customer approached the check bag window. Once there the customer was asked to provide ID. At that point the customer discovered that the ID was not on his person. The customer had to retrieve ID from parked vehicle. The customer traveling partner remained at the check bag window. note that the attendant had placed tags on the bag prior to discovering the traveler did not have ID. The customer returns to the check bag window 3 minutes after the check bag window closes. The customer and the traveling partner were refused further services. The customer was told of the policies by more than one employee of this airline in an UNFRIENDLY MANNER.
Sarcastic remarks were used such as " You need to wear a watch, so you can get here on time." The customer is a FIRST TIME FLYER. HE CHOSE YOUR AIRLINE AND HAD A VERY POOR AND DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. As a result, the passengers missed a milestone event of a child graduating from High School today. We are seeking restitution for this experience. No other offers to accommodate were available. There was no suggestion of collaborating with other airlines to get the passengers to their destination.

Charged me twice for one bag

Charged me twice for one bag, and would not refund. Company stole from me. I will not fly with a dishonest company that steals from its customers.

The worst company I ever had experience…

The worst company I ever had experience with. They cancelled my trip without any notice just few hours before departure. When I contacted them, they pretended my card had an issue which it doesn't and they charged me the whole flight amount 2 weeks my departure when I booked the flight. When I contacted an other agent he pretended someone called in and asked for canceling the flight and giving a refund. Which they didn't do until my reclaim. They cost me a lot to rebook an other flight and miss an Airbnb reservation.

Will NEVER fly Spirit again

Will NEVER fly Spirit again! Flew out of PHL horrible customer service. Woman at boarding stated "it's not my job to help you" Amazing that at customer service that's not your job. We were harrassed about a document that we weren't even asked for when we got to the next country. They make you pay for carry in bags, small bus like seats, always a delay.. Welfare class flights.

Terrible outfit

Terrible outfit. Be aware of their almost blackmail tactics by charging $99 per bag for carry on. Yes you heard us right.
Avoid Spirit at all costs.

Appallingly bad customer service

Appallingly bad customer service. Curly haired girl at check out desk was unbelievably unhelpful, caused us to miss our flight costing us over £1,600 to book new ones. Avoid especially if flying from Guatemala City

Terrible company

Terrible company, damaged my suitcase. Rude customer service. They won’t do anything because they say I had to have complained at the airport but I had to be someone else and felt they had cameras to verify my claim besides they was no staff nearby to report to.

After multiple flight delays I was able…

After multiple flight delays I was able to finally board and fly home. It didnt help we were stuck on the tarmac for 45 mins before we took off nor did we have an open gate to go to when we landed. We had to get of the plane and walk outside instead of using a normal gate. Not really sure whats up with spirit and I feel bad for the people that work there bc I was not the only one that was upset.

Do yourself a favor and stay away !!delayed ! Carry on costs more than the ticket !!! It sucks !

Do yourself a favor and stay away !!! Security could not recognize me because spirit had entered my info wrong and was not willing to correct it , it started off with extra security measures !!!!The flight was delayed because some vip person had entered Vegas and the Vegas airport had not let them fly for 1 hour and 30 minutes . Once we got to Vegas another vip person got there and they had to go in circles in the sky until they could land . They won’t even offer you a glass of water and my carry on stayed behind in the airport because they said they would charge 100$ and I had paid for carry on through 3rd party . I asked them to take it to ticketing so my family member could pick it up !!!!!!!!!! Cheap and delayed plus rude staff !!!!!!!!!!

Spirit Airlines was a Great experience

Spirit Airlines was a Great, welcome experience. Although i only passed on the flight because of an delay. They welcome you with complementary snacks (free), and you are able to let your seat back without anyone being bothered.

Now i shouldve wrote this review in 2019 but still cool

Cancelling a flight late at night, leaving customers with few options during spring break

We were delayed five times and our flight eventually got cancelled. Rather than making an announcement to all passengers what the options would be, two agents were available to talk to one customer at the time, basically telling us that we can be stuck in Orlando for two days, or take the refund. None of it came with a sincere apology and people were left to their own devices at 11pm on a Wednesday night during spring break week where rebooking anything reasonably priced was out of the question. We ended up having to drive to Detroit (18 hours) and lost two days of vacation time. We will never fly with Spirit again. If we could enter 0/10, we would.

Worst airline on this planet

Worst airline on this planet. They overbooked a flight to Central America on purpose, and over 100 passengers could not board the flight. The flight attendant counter lady said if I tried to board the flight that Secret Service would arrest me. Horrible experience, they are like Nazi's.

They also never refunded me and ruined my plan to migrate. Use Copa Airlines instead, much more reliable and they actually know what they're doing. Never book Spirit it's a waste of time and not worth it.

First my flight to Orlando was…CANCELLED 5 hours before take off in the middle of the night

First my flight to Orlando was cancelled 5 hours before scheduled departure. IEP6JY I had booked back in February and the time had already been altered once from 5:14am to 6:14am. I had added a bag 23hours before scheduled departure for the outbound and return flights. Still no warning this flight would be cancelled. It was cancelled in the middle of the night via email at 12:48am. I attempted to call customer service and it was extremely unhelpful. I was offered a refund, credit or a rebooking on a flight the next day. None of those options would work. My trip was 4 days, I had reservations, Hotel and park tickets. I would also like to note that the rescheduling option was for the same flight the next day which was again CANCELLED. I then spent $1200 dollars out of pocket to get flights out on a RELIABLE airline to salvage my trip. Then while on my trip I attempted to check in for the return portion of my flight. Upon doing so I was shocked to find out the return portion of the flight was CANCELLED because the outbound flight was rescheduled after I said it wasn't going to work. Per Spirit rules if you dont get on your oubound your return is cancelled. I was out in the park on my birthday no less 5/13 in a panic. I then had to have a 2 hour long text message chain with a spirit customer service representative to get the flights reinstated for myself and my children. It does not even end there. Upon reviewing my reinstated itinerary, the bag I had already paid for was not listed. I figured this was the least of my worries and Id get to the airport 3 hours early to make sure I cleared up the bag situation. Upon arrival to the Spirit counter the initial greeting was less than helpful. A woman from the BRONX NY per her name tag attempted to chastise me for not getting on my outbound flight which I tried over and over again to explain was CANCELLED 5 hours before take off and I did not authorize a rebooking. She got a supervisor who still couldnt help me. He had to call another office. That person on the phone attempted to tell me I paid for a Checked bag and a Carry on for the outbound flight and they were refunded. I have been at the counter for 45 minutes with three kids and the line for security at MCO is 30min long. I was at my breaking point over a 63$ bag. I had my SPIRIT MASTERCARD detailed charges pulled up. I have an EMAIL showing I paid for a bag down and a bag back to the tune of $130.00. I was refunded $83.00 for the flight down and bag. NOT the bag back. Finally the supervisor fixed the bag situation. We got to our gate 15min before boarding with no opportunity to get a meal before take off with THREE HUNGRY KIDS. Over a 63$ bag.
I will post my story on every social media page I can. I would NEVER recommend spirit airlines to anyone ever.

Spirit Airlines Flight Attendant's Discrimination Ruined My Trip

I experienced shocking discrimination and abysmal customer service on a recent Spirit Airlines flight (FLL-ORD, March 26th, delayed past 1am on March 27th). A flight attendant – a middle-aged white male, average height, with blond hair with ponytail up – targeted me despite my having paid extra for an exit row seat.

He claimed my English wasn't "fluent enough" for safety (it absolutely is!) and rudely forced me to switch with a native speaker. I was given no reasonable explanation. When I asked for his name and badge number, he defiantly removed his badge. I felt humiliated and believe his actions had racial undertones.

This ruined my trip – I missed an important meeting due to the delay and lack of sleep. Spirit Airlines, THIS IS WRONG. Address this flight attendant's behavior and fix your horrendous customer service!

The worst customer service

The worst customer service. Mechanical issues at 8:55am delayed my trip an extra day and then again on my return flight (which left me in the airport in Orlando until 1am trying to find a way home)...but I was offered a $50 voucher for another flight. I've asked for a refund on a cancelled guest flight, but all they care about is offering a credit for a future flight (within 90 days to book). I refuse to fly this airline and hope others follow

This Airline will never let you change…

This Airline will never let you change your flight with reasonable price ever you will pay more than you imagin. And they don't care what their service going to look like. I really hope the reason why they tickets non refundable and hight prices for changing or editing flight so high. The profits those money they will throw on the security and safety checking every parts and updated security Airline programs.
