Toad The Wet Sprocket (2) – Rock 'N' Roll Runners

my copy of this great 2 lp set is the high roller mailorder only CLEAR vinyl copy of wich only 100 where pressed, this is a beautiful gatefold sleeve, also this comes with a fantastic in depth booklet, great vintage photos from 79 & 80 in the booklet as well as on the inside of the gatefold sleeve, glossy sleeve & all, also comes with a nice A5 photo of the band from circa 79/80, all tracks on this 2 lp set are from the 78 to 80 era! most remember toad the wet sprocket from the METAL FOR MUTHAS compilation in 1980 w/ the track BLUES IN A, i do not 100% feel toad the wet sprocket where going for a full on nwobhm sound at this time but on quite a number of these tracks that was what happened as this was the era they where in & also if you look at the photos of the vintage flyers the band played with the likes of IRON MAIDEN, SAMSON, ANGELWITCH as well as others like JOHN OTWAY so i feel toad the wet sprocket where a lot like THE E.F
BAND very good hard rock BUT got looped into the nwobhm genre... anyway it is fantastic to have all of these recordings across 2 lps or the cd edition, i have been waiting DECADES for a release like this by TTWS..... this is worth it for the friday rock show stuff alone!!
