Col. Zadok Magruder High School Reviews
Rating 3.44 out of 5 352 reviews
During my time at Col. Zadok Magruder High School, I have had a pleasant time at the school by constantly being involved in different sports, clubs, AP study groups, and overall bonds created with individuals from different classes. Also, most teachers are very open and helpful when approached for support. The best part of my experience would be being part of the Varsity Pom team and creating bonds and friendships with my teammates. The worst part from my experience would be the challenging courses because while they do help with college prep and readiness, they can impose a lot of stress on individuals. I would like to see more access to support and study groups to truly prepare students for college life.
I really enjoyed my time at Magruder! I thought that there were countless opportunities to get involved and make a difference among the school and greater community. I really loved playing sports, being involved in student government, theatre, and volunteering. I would like to see more engagement among trying to diversify upper-level classes. I was a part of the PEAC program, which was fairly diverse, but I felt that the school could have done more to encourage minority students too join the PEAC program.
Recruiter high school is OK, but it is very diverse and so there are many students who are just not focused on academics or involved. I wish that there was more student involvement, but unfortunately there is not. I’ve had some really great teachers so I think there is Opportunity to learn a lot and do well if you put an effort in.
