Jason Miller exits CTS Eventim joint venture, retains stake in Eventim Live Asia

After nearly three years at the helm, live entertainment executive Jason Miller has decided to step down from operational responsibilities at Eventim Live Asia (ELA), a joint venture he co-launched with global entertainment company CTS Eventim in 2021.

Miller, however, will retain his ownership stake in ELA, according to a press release on Tuesday (May 14).

During his tenure as CEO, Los Angeles-based Miller led ELA’s production of shows across various genres in the US and internationally. Under his leadership, ELA staged events in 20 cities, spanning 13 countries and four continents.

Miller’s efforts were recognized last year with a nomination for a Pollstar Award.

The people are in place and the foundation has been laid for ELA to continue to gain market share and thrive. Live entertainment is booming, and I am excited to explore new opportunities to build and further develop great businesses within our industry.”

Miller didn’t disclose his plans for the future.

Miller was the former SVP of Asia for Live Nation, where he co-produced high-growwing tours from Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Madonna, Maroon 5, U2, and more.

He also held a position at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and played key roles in the career development and tour productions of clients including Beyoncé, Jimmy Fallon, Magic Johnson, Stevie Wonder and more.

Miller’s exit from Eventim Live Asia comes just two weeks after CTS Eventim struck a partnership with TikTok as the video-sharing platform seeks to become a one-stop shop for music discovery, fan engagement, and now, ticket purchases.

CTS is poised to strengthen its position in the ticketing industry after emerging as the winning bidder for Paris-based Vivendi’s See Tickets and festivals division, a transaction expected to close in the coming months.

In 2023, CTS Eventim’s revenue jumped 22.5% to a record EUR €2.359 billion (USD $2.54 billion at current exchange rates), from €1.926 billion in 2022, exceeding its own expectations.

Its strong performance was fueled by a resurgence in the live entertainment industry.
