About Us
Hillingdon Ramblers have a very full programme of walks, with something to suit all tastes, rural and urban, weekends and mid-week. As well as our regular walks, members are occasionally notified of additional walks at short notice by email and they are updated on this website.
Saturdays
- Gentle and relaxed pace morning walks of 3-4 miles, usually locally based, no stiles and accessible by public transport.
- Moderately paced afternoon walks of 5-7 miles, offered almost every weekend.
Sundays - Walks of 10-15 miles, for those who enjoy an all-day walk. We cover a sizable geographical area from the Chilterns, the Thames valley and Hampshire to the hills of Surrey and beyond: a wonderful way to discover new areas of the country. An optional car-sharing scheme operates on some Sundays from Ickenham Library car park. Phone the leader for details of this.
Tuesdays - Moderately paced 5-7 mile morning walks on 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
Wednesdays - An all day walk of 10-14 miles, usually in the Chilterns. There are also a few London walks, accessible by public transport.
Holidays and Short Breaks - Trips away are organised from time to time. We have had breaks in the Isle of Wight, Dorset, Devon, the Lake District and the Peak District, Malvern Hills, just to mention a few.
Socials - We like to include some social get togethers in our programme too, even at our AGM we enjoy a home cooked meal thanks our super team of volunteer caterers! See Events menu for upcoming events.
