    .

Time for us to wrap things up for tonight but if you want to catch up on all of today's action then Today at Wimbledon is live now on BBC Two and online.

It has been a belter of a middle Sunday so it is absolutely worth catching up on what happened if you missed anything.

    See you then!

  3. Organisations must tell people about handshakes - Svitolina

When asked about what she thought of the crowd's reaction to Victoria Azarenka, Elina Svitolina said she heard the same reaction in Paris.

That was at the French Open, where Svitolina was booed for not shaking Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka's hand.

It seemed that the issue was around the crowd being unaware that Svitolina would not shake Azarenka's hand and actually thought it was Azarenka who was snubbing the handshake.

"For me personally, I think the tennis organisations, they have to come out with a statement that there will be no handshake between Russian, Belarusian, and Ukrainian players," said Svitolina.

"I don't know if it's maybe not clear for people. Some people not really know what is happening. So I think this is the right way to do it."

  4. 'It means a lot to bring victory to Ukraine'

    Elina Svitolina

A little earlier, Ukraine's Elina Svitolina faced the media after beating Belarusian Victoria Azarenka and explained what an important win that was for her and her country:

"I know that a lot of people back home watching, supporting me. I feel responsibility, as well.

"So if I'm going out to play this match against Russian, Belarusian, I feel of course more pressure that I need to win. That's why it means a lot to get these kinds of wins.

"In my own way, to bring this victory, small victory, to Ukraine."

  5. Court One order of play

There's lots to look forward to on Court One too, where will play will get under way at 13:00 BST.

There, men's third seed Daniil Medvedev takes on Czech 21-year-old Jiri Lehecka, before women's second seed Aryna Sabalenka continues her bid for a second Slam this year against Ekaterina Alexandrova.

Grigor Dimitrov, the 21st seed, and Danish sixth seed Holger Rune follow.

  6. Day eight on Centre Court

This match between Novak Djokovic and Hubert Hurkacz will also be concluded at some point tomorrow, but here's what else is coming up on Centre Court.

Reigning women's champion Elena Rybakina and men's world number one Carlos Alcaraz are the headliners on Monday.

Rybakina, who was in devastating form as she ended Katie Boulter's tournament on Saturday, is due to open play against Brazilian 13th seed Beatriz Haddad Maia at 13:30 BST.

Sixth seed and 2022 runner-up Ons Jabeur follows against two-time winner Petra Kvitova, before Alcaraz returns to action against former finalist Matteo Berrettini in the final match of the day.

  7. Post update

Let's look ahead to tomorrow as things wind down in Wimbledon and the crowd that were so enthralled by that match head off into the night.

  8. Djokovic can sleep easy tonight

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-7 (6-8) Djokovic

    Michael Emons

    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Hubert Hurkacz must be wondering what he has to do to take a set off Novak Djokovic. He couldn't get much closer, unable to convert three set points in the first tie-break and fighting as hard as he could to get to 6-6 and save one set point in the second breaker, but Djokovic converts the second set point.

As expected, time has beaten us and that's the day done.

Djokovic can sleep easy knowing he's two sets to the good. It was a slow start, but it was absolutely fantastic from the mid-point of the first set.

You'll be pretty lucky if you're catching the end of this one tomorrow.

What a way to end the first week of Wimbledon.

  9. 'Tough for Hurkacz to handle'

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-7 (6-8) Djokovic

    Feliciano Lopez

Former Wimbledon and US Open quarter-finalist on BBC TV

I think it is tough for Hurkacz to handle that he was up in both tie-breaks and just made the errors.

  10. Play suspended

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-7 (6-8) Djokovic

And that is indeed the case as the match is suspended until tomorrow. There's a few boos from the crowd, who would happily stay here until the early hours of the morning, such has been the entertainment on show.

  11. Post update

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-7 (6-8) Djokovic

    Tim Henman

Former British number one on BBC TV

I think by Novak's reaction he knew they they weren't going to finish the set and have to come back to tomorrow so it doesn't make any sense to continue.

  12. Game and second set - Djokovic

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-7 (6-8) Djokovic*

Novak Djokovic gets the job done again and he leads 2-0. We are 25 minutes away from the curfew and I think this is going to be suspended...

  13. Post update

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-6 (6-6) Djokovic*

The crowd are on their feet as Hubert Hurkacz comes out on top of an extraordinary rally as Novak Djokovic hits into the net.

This has been brilliant entertainment from two players giving their all.

  14. Post update

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-6 (5-6) Djokovic*

    Feliciano Lopez

Former Wimbledon and US Open quarter-finalist on BBC TV

It seems like Hurkacz hasn't learned the lessons from the first set.

  15. Post update

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-6 (5-6) Djokovic*

But he fails to take advantage again, losing the next point before Novak Djokovic flicks a sublime forehand beyond Hubert Hurkacz.

    Set point...

  16. Post update

    *Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-6 (5-4) Djokovic

Hubert Hurkacz tucks a shot into the perfect spot and he leads 5-4 in the tie-break.

A big opportunity for Hurkacz to get a set back here...

  17. Post update

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-6 (4-4) Djokovic*

Novak Djokovic misses a shot he should make and Hubert Hurkacz leads 4-3 but then responds in style with a forehand at the net slammed into the far corner, 4-4.

  18. Post update

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-6 (3-3) Djokovic*

What a shot! A wonderful sliced backhand by Hubert Hurkacz just seems to bend away from Novak Djokovic and now the momentum swings his way.

  19. Post update

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-6 (2-2) Djokovic*

A lovely shot down the line and Hubert Hurkacz gets back level. Excellent response as he faced going two sets down.

  20. Post update

    Hurkacz 6-7 (6-8) 6-6 (1-2) Djokovic*

    Tim Henman

Former British number one on BBC TV

The pressure is on Hurkacz, but those types of errors in the first set cost him.
