Instructions

1 - Start by slicing apples into ¼ inch slices. It's best to cut off the ends and slice down the middle so the apples will be flat on both sides. You should be able to get 2 to 3 slices from each apple.

2 - Cut a small slit in the bottom of each slice and insert a popsicle stick until it is firmly anchored. Set the apples aside.

3 - Set up a candy dipping station with all of your toppings in bowls. Melt chocolate in a microwave in 30 second intervals. Stir each time until chocolate is creamy. Add coconut oil and stir well.

Recipe FAQS

How do you keep caramel from sliding off apples?

Make sure the apples are completely dry before dipping them in chocolate. Once the chocolate is on the apple slice, it will keep the caramel from sliding off.

How long does it take caramel apples to dry?

It only takes about 30 minutes for the apples to set if they are placed in the refrigerator after dipping. The caramel will harden quickly.

Can these apples be refrigerated?

Yes, in fact, you should store them in the refrigerator after 1 day. They are better when freshly made, but can last at least 2 days in the fridge.
