Actress Glydel Mercado returns to ABS-CBN after eight years of doing projects with GMA-7.
She is the new cast member of ABS-CBN's afternoon drama series, Kadenang Ginto.
Her first appearance happened in the September 13, 2019 episode.
She was introduced as Madam Rosita, the new neighbor of Daniela Mondragon (Dimples Romana) in the slums area.
Glydel only had a short appearance in the episode, but in the preview for the upcoming episodes, Madam Rosita is shown to have plans of befriending Daniela for her advantage.
Kadenang Ginto is Glydel's ABS-CBN comeback after doing several TV shows for GMA-7.
Her last appearance in ABS-CBN was in 2011, in the prime-time series My Binondo Girl. Back then, Glydel had to leave the show after she got pregnant.
When she resumed acting in 2012, she did teleseryes for GMA-7 until 2019.
Glydel's last GMA-7 project was the 2019 drama series Kara Mia.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in February 2018, Glydel said that she enjoys working for both networks.
