Not certain when this is from, my guess is 70s based on the label compared with other Epic releases I own from around the same time. Anyways, this is an incredible pressing of an incredible album. For an album with an awful lot of instruments at once in some tracks each instrument is there; crystal clear with no muddiness. Insanely good dynamics with steady bass that leaves no distortion nor drowns anything out. Completely void of any sibilance too. The vocals also sound fantastic throughout with a heck of a lot of detail and quality for something recorded in 67. I'm completely in awe at this copy and though I was previously a big fan of the album - this press has only made me love it more. Can't say what an original sounds like but I have no doubt this is at least on par, and more than likely superior.

My copy is super flat, the hole is where it should be and it's dead silent! No pops or clicks whatsoever.
The packaging is pretty plain, just the cover and the record but it comes in an anti-static inner sleeve. That always makes me smile.
I'm very happy with how it sounds. Seems to be mastered well enough but i'm not an audiophile.

If you know this album and want it on vinyl i don't think there's a reason to not buy this.

The version I have doesn’t have KG’s initials in the dead wax and doesn’t come in a QRP inner. From the photos of this listing, it looks like the record came in a paper sleeve.
I’m assuming I have a different version? Just purchased off the acoustic sounds website last week.
Same cover and hype sticker but side 1 dead wax reads:
          LP 5111 AS 710530 RMLOVERDE
          Sounds good though!

Extremely quiet and high quality sleeve. words. words. words. words.

One of the many life altering discoveries in college.....The Side Trips cassette lived in my shit box car for a year. And one helluva psych/roots/folk/trip you need to take and be on. Their best album. Saul we'll always love you! N

This is a very good, exact reissue.(except for the newer, dark blue Epic label of course.) I bought it in the early 1990's, and also the Epic reissue of Kaliedoscope's second album, A Beacon From Mars. This is also really good. I believe they were both limited editions.

Anyone know what's up with this pressing or its year of release? This is the only one I see with the "Originally released..." note on the label.
