    • Though it’s one of the most famous local cemeteries, San Fernando Mission keeps its intimate charm. Unique to San Fernando Mission Cemetery | Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary is the Mission Garden. This special garden dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe offers variety of burial options adjacent the historic Mission San Fernando Rey with its chapel and artworks.

      Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary, located on the grounds, is spacious and accommodating (18,000 square feet). Its chapel seats 160. Its reception area seats 70 and includes a fully equipped kitchen. The facility also has a flower shop, five private arrangement rooms, a visitor lounge, and a private meditation room for family. Ample parking is available.

    All Catholic Cemeteries and Mortuaries will celebrate a Memorial Day Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2024. The public is welcome to attend at their local Catholic Cemetery or join the livestream on our website. This event is a unique occasion to pay tribute to and pray for our deceased loved ones, particularly those who served in the military. Our Mass at Resurrection Cemetery in Rosemead, California, will be livestreamed here on our site.

      Our Lady of Guadalupe Pilgrimage
      In 1531, the Blessed Mother appeared four times to St. Juan Diego, asking for a church to be built in her honor. The last time she appeared to St. Juan, on December 12th, 1531, she arranged roses in his tilma, which he then took to the bishop. When he opened his cloak, the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe miraculously appeared on the tilma.
