Emory & Henry celebrates last 'college' graduation ahead of university transition

EMORY, Va. (WCYB) — The last class of Emory and Henry College walked the stage for graduation on Saturday.

College leaders recently announced that the school will make the transition from college to university status.

Nine nursing students also graduated Saturday; they are the first round to graduate from the college's nursing program.

Families say they were overjoyed to see the happy graduates complete a major milestone.
