Q – Did your band mates ever object to your name being singled out in the band name? Not many bands formed in the eighties used that format.
A – I think this question may signal that we have run out of fresh questions… I hope not, and so to answer – I don’t think so. The project was very much my brainchild in it’s inception and everyone knew that. As we evolved we became more of a band, for better and for worse… Amongst ourselves we never referred to ourselves as ‘Lloyd Cole and the Commotions’, always ‘The Commotions’.
