Altadena Reviews
Rating 4.1 out of 5 108 reviews
Altadena is a quiet, lovely neighborhood. Right in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains. There are several good schools in the area, along with a small but thriving strip of boutique stores, coffee shops and thrifting. Although the neighborhood my not be walkable, it presents a homey energy just right for raising a family.
The people are friendly, and the mountain views are inspiring. There are also local coffee shops with some of LA’s greatest coffee. There are many activities going on during the weekend that are family oriented. The Altadena library serves as a main hub of events going on during the month.
Everyone here is friendly and everyone pretty much knows each other - it's a small town. All of the schools in Altadena are part of the Pasadena Unified School District - and as a former student that went to a charter school then a public school for high school at John Muir High - I would say that public schools are better because they teach their students better than charter schools
