Arthur Cameron Dies In Beverly Hills Home

BEVERLY HILLS (UPI) - Multimillionaire oilman Arthur Cameron. 66. was found dead today in bed at his home under circumstances Beverly Hills police chief Clinton Anderson

described as “not unusual.” Chief Anderson said Dr. Arthur D. Brody had been called to the home and found Cameron’s body. The police officer said the cause of death was unknown and a ruling would be made by the coroner. Sleeping pills were found in the bedroom, Anderson said, but there was no indication Cameron had taken too many. Cameron, who had extensive oil interests in Oklahoma and California, formerly was married to dancer Ann Miller. His other wives included actresses June Knight and Kay Aldridge and model Jean Lawrence. - A brother. George E. Cameron Jr., owns The Desert Sun and radio stations KDES and KGEC in Palm Springs and KB LA in Burbank. Cameron was prominent socially in Palm Springs and maintained a home at 457 Hermosa Place.
