When Adèle de Normandie was born about 1067, in Normandy, France, her father, William I 'the Conqueror' King of England, was 41 and her mother, Matilda of Flanders Queen Consort of England, was 38. She married Étienne II de Blois Comte de Chartres et de Meaux about 1092, in Breteuil, Normandie. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. She died on 8 March 1137, in Marcigny, Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy, France, at the age of 71, and was buried in Lower Normandy, France.
