Reviews
- Well, if you are considering buying this I needn’t discuss the music itself because you know that this is Otis Redding…he is one of the greatest and this is one of his great records.
Sound wise, the vinyl is very quiet, heavy and flat. This is a mono pressing, which is likely better than a stereo mix, I’m not 100% sure.
Otis’ vocals come through clear as a bell. Al Jackson’s snare really pops. Booker T Jones on the organ and piano sounds clear. My only negative is that I wish the bass was bigger in the mix. Everything else is first rate. Buy this record. You won’t regret it.
